    Trips to Las Vegas:
Ok, so stay with me here. July 31st, through the Southwest website I booked a round trip flight and hotel for me and my wife at the end of October. Wed - Sat. Staying at NYNY. At the time I did have a Southwest rapid rewards account. Well since then I signed up for an Mlife card and last night actually got around to activating the thing. Since as far as I can tell these two association have become parterns, tell me a few things if possible:

    1. Should I get more southwest rapid rewards points for staying at NYNY or does that account only collect on the flight? Also do I get the points at booking, or not until the trip is complete?

    2. Same for the Mlife. Can I get hotel stay rewards or am I out of luck since I booked through Southwest and didn't have the Mlife card at the time. Do I get any Mlife points for using southwest? Also do these points come after booking, after check in, or after the stay?

    3. We never play table games. I'd say about $40-60 per person on video whatever per day, and our favorite is video Roulette. This past winter we stayed at a casino in Minneapolis and myself I racked up about $2400 in wagering on video roulette between one night and the next morning, my wife was closer to $1200. Do these games pay "points" very well or not?

    4. We get to Vegas about once a year. Will points expire between trips or will I be ok?

    5. I also do the MyVegas thing. Besides needing the Mlife to actually redeem, do they tie together at all?

I know that's lots of questons. Thanks for any feedback!!!!

Yea, lots of questions. I will take a shot at a few.

No loyalty program will give any points on a reservation, only after the actual flight or stay.

I believe there are some details at mlife.com about what sort of points, etc you get.

$2,400 of coin in for a trip is not low roller, but for sure not alot. I would not expect much for that level of play. Those points will acrue at the slot rate for best case, or Video Poker rate for worse case. $2,400 coin in on slots at CET for example would give you $4.80 in comp money.

All casinos have expiration dates for tier points. CET is Jan 1, MGM is Oct 1. Reward credits (used to buy stuff) expire if no activity in 6 months.
