A nice win last night. Especially since the first five innings went over but not the game.

A couple of notes from last night.

    • Brian Wilson's beard has to be a distraction to hitters. It must be tough when a large black beard is throwing 95 mph fastballs.
    • Don Mattingly possibly single handedly cost the Dodgers last night's game. I can't imagine any manager in the 8th inning would have pulled their best hitter for a pinch runner. Later in the game that spot in the lineup came up in two crucial situations.

    On to today's game.

Taking the Dodgers at -140 is a steep price to pay, but there is still value in it. It opened at -130, but we missed that.

St. Louis is terrible against left handed pitchers. Clayton Kershaw will take the the Cardinals' bats and shove them up their asses.

Michael Wacha was lights out his last outing in the NLDS. However, he is not dominant against right handed batters. It make sense since his out pitch is a changeup which is usually more effective against left handed batters. The Dodgers have 5 solid right handed batters in their lineup.
