Hi, I'm going to Las Vegas in February and I am entertaining the idea of staying at the Mirage. I realize that this is an older property than some, but I've always liked the casino. Are the normal, standard rooms worth the price, and if yes or no I would be interested in your thoughts. Thanks in advance.

If you scroll down through the past few weeks, you will see most people like Mirage.

But, to answer the question - we do not know what you mean about the cost? How much?

    Compared to what?

    Past experience for you?

    Cost

I guess about $100 a night during the week and whatever it takes for the weekend. I'll be there for seven or eight days. Thanks.

I'm a fan of Mirage - its not as 'nice' as some of the fresher properties, but the rooms are nice and somewhat recently renovated and the location is awesome being mid-strip. I like Palazzo more, but on a $ for location basis, Mirage is great.

You stated that you liked the casino. Most people rave about the hotel. You should be very happy there. We have never liked their casino and for that reason I have never bothered staying in their hotel. Enjoy!

To me, Mirage is one of those places you're either going to love or hate. There are people here who really love it. Last time I stayed there was 3 years ago, and we didn't care for it. I fully admit, that could have been a fluke. The room was okay, but I didn't like the casino for a few reasons (again, could just have been the days I was there.)

Played green chip blackjack and rarely if ever saw a waitress for drinks, which is unusual at table games. Went down for my early saturday morning craps session and they only had one table open...it was empty, and had a $25 limit (I was a red chip player back then at craps.) I asked about it, and the dealers just told me that the table was packed all night. I asked what that had to do with 9 in the morning, and could we change the limit since literally nobody was at the table. They didn't even look into it for me.

So that all turned me off, and I haven't been back.

It sounds like you enjoy the Mirage and really the only bad thing about the rooms is the tiny bathroom compared to other properties. Unless that would change your opinion, you should not hesitate to stay there. I like the casino there as well and they have a good selection of restaurants. The drink service can be hit or miss, but I could pretty much say that at any casino I have been to at one time or another. Have a great trip!

I just stayed there in a Deluxe Room. I thought the room was fine. The location is great so that makes it a great value. If I had a bigger budget I would have stayed at the Wynn but I was happy there.
