Very excited for this trip in September. If you see from my few earlier posts, where i stay is important to me. Nothing against IP/Flamingo/Ballys etc, just not for me. So, since i have seen no reviews of the Villas at the Mirage, except for the tool who was in a Lanai, here is my itinerary:

    9/2 - 9/4 - 3 Bedroom Mirage Villa
    9/4 - 9/6 - 2 Bedroom Skyloft
    9/6 - 9/7 - 2 Bedroom Aria Penthouse

I am a very avid reader of this site, yet a minimal contributor, mainly because i don't really feel i have much to contribute. As an fyi, I have stayed at Skylofts around 7-10 times, plus at least 3 times in the Aria Penthouses.

If any of you have questions regarding these types of accommodations, just ask. I am very easy going. 2 months!!!

I love it! How cool!!! That's some livin' right there!!!
BTW... most VMBers are convinced I don't have much to contribute, and I have over 1,800 instances to prove it!!! Keep lovin' Vegas!!!

sounds nice, but why moving around so frequently? I couldn't handle moving every 1-2 nights.

so, what did the "tool" say

about the Lanai that you didn't like?!?

Anyway, I've stayed in all 3. The Villa is superior to either comparator. You will like it. I've just grown tired of the Mirage.

The friday at Skylofts were insane for some reason. I am booking the Skylofts via Amex Platinum. Between now and then it might change.

just joking about the guy on youtube. I really don't give a shit. Really looking forward to the Villa. Forgot to mention, i am going with my 2 brothers. This should be quite interesting. Inquired about a Cabana at Bare for the 3 of us. We'll see about that.

Did you book any of the others through FHR or just the Skylofts? If you don't mind how much did you get them for and what benefits came with the FHR reservation? Most of the times I've tried booking through them for other cities the prices were higher than I could get on my own, though sometimes the benefits more than made up for it.

By the way there is a poster on here who works for FHR and is generous with offering help in bookings for AMEX Platinum members. And at least you know she has first hand knowledge of Vegas.

Skylofts were the only ones available through FHR. As for their benefits, they told me Mansion breakfast daily for 4 (easily over $200 per day with Mimosas). Last time i was there it was 200 food credit for 2 bedroom (100 for 1 bedroom). Always has the 100 spa credit which i never use.

    Hi davis237.

First, let me say, I hope you enjoy your trip & that you have a blast.

I have as yet, never had the good fortune to stay at one of the really high end & posh hotels on the strip.

It has always been a dream of mine though ( Wynn Or Encore to name my two. )

I have heard Great things about Aria though & the other property on your list.

I like reading about everyone's trips & I would love to read anything you can offer about the amenities & special touches that the high end villas & PH provide for you.

( Just in case I ever hit the powerball & become wealthy enough to stay in one of those places! LOL! )

So please, talk away & speak in detail about the amenities that the hotels that you have stayed at provide.

I would Love to read about it!

Thanks & have a great trip!

will do UVF - I am really looking forward to seeing the Mirage 3br Villa. As it turns out, a friend of a friend of mine who lives in Vegas was a butler for Steve back when it opened. She asked that i tell her when i arrive so she can see if anything has been done since then :) As for the Skylofts and Aria, i have already been to both and enjoy both. The one difference is the Skylofts pampers you a bit more. I will write a cheesy trip report when i am done with some bj included. I am not a big player. I do play in the HL lounge, but at the 100/500 range. In January i was in one of the west end Penthouses at the Cosmo. Nice !!!!! Still take Skylofts especially since the HL BJ was 200 min.

Looking forward to your trip report. I haven't had the opportunity to stay in one of those places. Well, I guess I have, I'm just can't seem to let go of that much cash at once. But I'll happily be envious of your experience there.

I hope you're bringing an entourage because those 3br lofts sleep about 15.

Hmmm...Maybe we can add to the entourage when we are there. "Hi, did i mention I have a 3 BR loft upstairs?". Worth a shot, i need all the help i can get.
