The Mirage Expedited Room Service Orders cracks me up - from The Pantry in a paper bag, I wonder since they did away with conventional room service? Although maybe still do conventional for the Suite Life Package?

We've stayed in the Penthouse Suites many a time - have never done the actual Suite Life package but it looks likes it covers pretty much everything anyone might want to do.

Done away with conventional room service? Really? You can not order food to the room?

There is an older thread on here with a lot of discussion about it: " is Mirage the test site for new MGM rules? "

Well, you can order 'room service' but it is now delivered from The Pantry in a paper bag rather than the traditional white tablecloth room service. The room service menu is for The Pantry only. But it's possible they still do 'traditional' room service for certain packages - maybe someone can answer that? I've not seen a room service cart or tray in the hallways like in the old days; I have seen the hand deliveries in the bags and that was on the suite floors in December and March. I'm a devoted Mirage fan, my go to place for plus 12 years and used to enjoy the nicety of breakfast room service, now when we stay at Mirage, we just go to The Pantry or across the street to Buchon.

Ah, I missed that thread about room service going away - or at least how once knew it. The title of thread (New MGM Rules) had me thinking it was table game rules and never read it. All in the title.

In any event, I wish I had not booked our room for this summer at Mirage. Jerks. (probably will not change due some other perks the host is taking care of)

Then again, we tend to go out and eat most of the time.... but my honey does like room service sometimes.

What do they mean by priority seating for Beatles Love? I assume they don't mean complimentary tickets, but I could be wrong.

"priority" in any marketing material is without any rules. Just hope for something good.

Just for the record, I called and asked somebody in reservations and she said it means that they'll help you get the best tickets, though they're not free or discounted.

Hi Scott, we stayed at Mirage over the 4th of July and didn't even realize we were in a non-smoking room.............got hit with a $300 smoking fee at the end. Why wasn't this posted or brought up at check in? I saw no smoking a sign posted in the sports book, but nowhere did I see that all the guest rooms have gone non-smoking.

Looked at the prices for grins and wow some of those prices sure do
have swings. Like one night for 90.00 and one night for 1200.00. December 9
was an especially high price. Wonder what is going on December 9??

    Interesting info.

The room service from Pantry, even if put in a gold tray instead of the paper bag I would not take it.
Pantry's food is really bad. I would rather eat McDonald's dollar menu items.

I'm not sure why they didn't mention it at check in at least (unless they assume people will realize the rooms are non-smoking when there aren't any ash trays available?)

I know MGM Resorts started changing their hotels to non-smoking rooms last December but hadn't heard much else about which hotels were making the conversions and when.

You may want to contact the hotel manager and tell them you weren't told about the non-smoking policy in the room, though, I suspect, there is something in the check in form that says that and he will furnish you with that document. Still, they should verbally tell you or have signs somewhere stating all rooms are non-smoking since they recently had some floors at Mirage that allowed smoking.

    EDIT TO ADD:
Mirage went smoke free in April

Thanks for the response and link Scott. Looks like my girlfriend who smokes is limited to the casino and pool now........we're coming back in sept and Mirage is still our fave!

Only the circled dates apply, the $90 rate you saw is the cheapest price for a room when the suite offer was not available.

December 9th is a Friday during NFR and the Mirage is a primary sponsor with free concerts.

Oh - I am there every year during the NFR, but I never have stayed at
the Mirage. That is interesting - thanks for the info. I always
stay at Caesar's, but like to look at what's going on at other properties.
No wonder their prices are so high during that time.
