I just got an offer through email to upgrade to the two bedroom suite (from standard) for 175 per night. It's 3 guys so honestly we need the space. This seems like a no brainer. Those rooms look really nice too.

From a standard room or standard suite? If it was from a standard room, nice pick up. I've only gotten those upgrade emails from myVegas (which is annoying because I'd almost always buy them if the came on comped or discounted rooms). How did you book?

I received an e-mail upgrade offer today, but when I clicked on the link (two minutes after I received the e-mail), I was told the offer was no longer available. The offer was to go from a Two Bedroom Tower Suite to a Two Bedroom Penthouse Suite for $65 a night. I don't think I would have taken the offer anyway, so I didn't pursue it.

my trip is now 40 days away, I got the offer yesterday, exactly 6 weeks before arrival. The upgrade is from standard 2 queen room to 2 br tower suite.
I don't think there is a ton of difference between tower and penthouse suites is there?

Make sure you ask for 2 queen beds in the 2nd bedroom, or else someone will be sleeping on the sofa. (Or sharing a King sized bed.) The 2 bedroom suites total 1600 sq feet, so having the extra space at only an extra $58 per person is a good deal.

It's been a few years since I've been in both, but they had the same floor plan, but the penthouse suites were slightly different. Furniture, etc. Nothing I'd pay to upgrade from a room very similar to it.

First, nice upgrade - think you will enjoy! Have an awesome time with your friends.

Have stayed in Tower and Penthouse Suites - same size, Penthouse has higher end living area furniture. I think Penthouse suites are on the two highest floors (could be wrong) but IMO, no real noticeable difference.

You will really like the Tower Suite. I'm staying in the 1 Bedroom Version Labor Day week. I can't wait.

Interesting. I just returned from a trip, and don't recall receiving that offer (perhaps overlooked it). The Resort Tower King room was fine, but I would have considered that.

I can't speak for the regular rooms as we've never stayed in one at Mirage, but the penthouse suites are AWE-SOME!!!! We've been bumped up from tower suite several times and must say the Mirage Penthouse suites are our favorite suites by far on the Strip. If there are three of you and you can split that cost three ways, go for it!

the Tower Suites are pretty sick, I'd take that offer for sure, especially if its being split three ways.
