    Trips to Las Vegas:
I have a specific code I want to use for the Mirage in September and the only rooms available are the Pool View and Volcano View rooms. I am fine with that but they have to be Queen beds, a king bed won't work.

Anyone know a way to guarantee the room? Are more of the rooms queens or kings?

Will be staying 5 nights, Saturday - Thursday. I can check in early Saturday if that would help?

We just stayed in a hospitality suite with a volcano view. Kind of disappointed. I think I would ask for a pool view next time.

    1. You can't really experience the volcano from the room. You miss the sound, the heat and it isn't a good angle as you see the top with the mechanicals.
    2. The flood lights that light up the front of the mirage are pointing right up at the windows you're looking out of so it isn't comfortable to look out for a long period. We also had to keep our drapes closed as the flood lights put too much light in the room. I remember staying at the MGM and Monte Carlo and leaving my drapes open to enjoy the strip view all night. Can't do that at the Mirage.
    3. You only get to see Casino Royal, Harrahs and the Venetian. None of which are spectacular strip hotels to view.

That was my opinion after staying last week at the Mirage.
