Anyone who has read any of my many parking questions is aware that my DH is anti valet parking. So I have 2 questions about Mirage self park.

#1 Is there an elevator in the parking garage to bring you down to ground level to avoid trying to haul suitcases down the escalator?

#2 Has anyone ever pulled into valet and NOT used the valet? For example the parking garage at Mirage is adjacent to the north valet, what if we pulled into the north valet, had bell hop take the "seniors" luggage and then we just pulled out without letting them park us.

Trying to make everyone happy...DH, myself and bringing the 70 and 80 year olds with us again.

Save your fingers, don't bother responding with just valet...my DH would die first before allowing anyone to drive the car.

If you don't get a good answer and you remind me when I get closer to my trip (which is before yours) I'll find out for you. I don't drive, but I'll go out and ask the bellhops/valets.

Most places I've been you can just drive in and not use valet. What are they going to do?

I thought my husband was the only one anti valet. Glad to know there are others. The year we stayed at the Signature and all they had was valet parking, he actually parked at MGM Grand and we walked.

Last year, we stayed at Mandalay Bay and we did just what you are asking. He drove through valet, stopped, Bell guy came out and got our luggage, I gave him our room number and we went and parked.

#1 yes. go all the way to level 1. you will have to cross the north valet area. the elevator will show level 2 as the casino level, but if you get off here, you will cross on a bridge over the valet area. then you will take an escaltor down to ground level. PITA with baggage.

#2 yes just find a spot out of the way; tell valet you just want to drop off the bags. that valet is usually not that busy should not be a problem -
