My wife just received a mail offer from Mirage for 3 different dates in June/July to enjoy their poolside entertainment (don't remember specifics). Offer showed $59 per night room fee and said congratulations on achieving Gold MLife status but it also said $30,000 in FREE PLAY.
No disclaimer about entery to win or drawing or anything - even in the small print disclaimer language. The offer said redeem once or all three designated dates.
She called the reservation number to check and was told that the offer did not mean $30k in Free Play just a chance to win and " thats how their offers work".
No where on this mailer does it say drawing or entry for chance to win it clearly states: "you get $30,000 FREE PLAY".
Has anyone else gotten such an offer and what are we missing or how can we push them to honor this?

We got the same mailer as well. I remember seeing something about poolside entertainment, and the 30,000 freeplay but did not say you get 30,000 freeplay. I also thought this offer was very vague. We will already be there, but not staying at Mirage on those nights. I wonder what the poolside entertainment is.

It would be awesome if you could get them to honor it but I seriously doubt they will without some kind of lawyer involvement! :poke:

this could be similar to what Hooters did back in 2009-10. You sign up and get "$1000 in free slot play" but it's on a designated bank of "$100" promo machines. You can only cash out if you win the top two prizes(I believe $1000 and $5000 cash). All other slot wins are added to your balance and you keep playing until you hit 0. I did this with a friend. Fortunately for us we pulled 10-15 times and were broke. The lady next to us had accrued over $14,000 on her machine, but never hit the top two pays, so she had to keep playing for it.

That mailer was sent out to a lot of people. Mine came with a comped suite, $300 in FP and F&B. While I admit that the wording certainly isn't clear, it's preposterous that you think they should honor the offer and give you $30k in FP.

Do you really think they're offering you $30k in FP but can't justify comping you a basic room? Casinos can rescind offers at any time (just look at the Venetian deal a few years back). They aren't obligated to give you anything, and quite frankly you're wasting your time and will look foolish trying.

That's not what this is, this is a tourney or drawing (I forget which). However, that does remind me of my first trip to Vegas and doing the Casino Royale promo that was like the one you described. There was a guy sitting there in "purgatory" with a ton of credits on his machine. He was so sick of playing trying to hit the top jackpot to actually get anything, but he had so many credits he didn't want to just walk away either.

Got this mailer. Called and asked for Clarification.

On each of the three nights listed, they are going to have a reception and live music, with the pool closed off. During the reception, 1 first place winner will win $5,000 in free play, and and 5 second place winners will each receive $1,000 in free play, for a total of $10k per night, and $30k total.

    See my reply there.

Why would they company continue to talk with someone that want $30,000 in Freeplay?

I did see your reply there and it was just as ignorant as your reply here. Not sure what you are looking to get out of me...

Sorry, was not trying to be mean spirited at all.

If I remember, there was a comment about someone calling in and the casino hung up on them. This would be a rather rare occurrence and usually preceded by something that caused them to actually hang up on a customer. TWICE.

    Just an observation.

Why do you think they would hang up on somebody, twice?

That was me, and I could only assume it was because they were inundated with calls or they did not know how to respond to the numerous people calling to book a phantom offer.
