Hi coming to Vegas this Saturday staying at the Mirage. I have read a couple of places about construction going on there. Is there still construction going on and is it a hindrance at all. Also anyone have any tips for good places to eat there.

    Thanks in advance.

When I was there in the spring there was some construction but it was all out of the way and you barely even noticed it. Love the mirage, staying there myself in October. The Cravings buffet is great but try and find a groupon or wagjag on it to save you a couple of bucks. I was able to get 2 buffets for $39, which is about half price

On our trip a few months back, they were working the restaurant near the front. That is now done. Even then, no big deal.

I didn't encounter any construction issues in July, except a few narrowed traffic walkway areas.

The new and improved sportsbook is pretty freaking awesome.

I'm looking forward to spending all day Sunday there opening NFL weekend. Any idea what time I would have to get there in the morning to get a good seat I will be solo.

I stayed there last week. I saw zero construction.

Depends on what you are looking for, but we went to Tom Colicchio's Heritage Steak during its opening week. It was fantastic. The steaks were fantastic and the potato puree was to die for!!!

If you limit your drinks, it is pretty reasonable for what you get.

I was there last week, didn't notice anything.

The rest of Vegas however. Construction everywhere!! Quad, Linq, NYNY, Monte Carlo.

The buffet is super mediocre, for $30. It was picked out, everything was dried out, none of the bread stations had butter. Nobody out refilling anything. The only good thing was the prime rib. Personally for $30 have a sit down dinner.
