Anyone have any experience with actually getting a cabana at the Mirage when you are on the wait list because the are booked full? Any chance of getting my name moved up the list because I am staying In a penthouse suite?

Was there over EDC weekend. Mirage is on a waitlist system all the time. If you have a Platinum card, you will most likely always be bumped towards the top. The whales and Noir card holders get the cabanas before the waitlist, so after them, Platinum would be next.

Slim, it has been a few years since I stayed at Mirage, so my info may be out of date. The post above is correct. Mirage holds its cabanas for its bigger players with hosts. So if you have a host, he or she may be able to bump you up the list

The Cabana hosts (these are different from casino hosts) say they start calling wait list names at 9:45, the morning of. Last weekend, they called my room at around 9:15. We were the first ones to settle in to the cabanas, as far as I could tell and ironically, got the exact same cabana as last year...#14.

As UK mentioned, if you have a Casino Host, have them put you on the list. If you have an MLife card, make sure you give them that number as well.

Not sure if you have access to VIP Services but they have the contacts to make things happen. It is by no means a guarantee but they can at least make a call and tell you reality. The only time I had access to them was when I had a host comp me RFB in a hospitality suite. All of my other trips I have just been an invited guest.
