    My Trip Report

Cannot believe I am back in the real world, had a great trip will give a few of the highlights..........4th time for Vegas for me, 5 of us traveled out there, with one Vegas Virgin.

Flight from Boston was fine a little late getting out but got into Vegas around Midnight. Had one Comp night at Mirage the first night and then was moving on for 3 comp nights at the Bellagio. Like the Mirage, not crazy about the rooms there, but the pool on Thursday morning was really great. Thursday afternoon hit Commanders Palace for the 0.25 martinin lunch, service was lacking, but drinks and food were top notch. Gambled in the afternoon at the Alladin that day, enjoying some Carribean and Let it Ride. Did like the new 3 card bet on the Let it Ride tables. Moved over to the Bellagio, unfortunately, no fountain view room this time, in the Spa Tower room was nice and like the elevator service direct down to the pool area. Thursday night off to the Rio, first time over there, ate at Voodoo Cafe, food was better than I thought it would be. then up to the Voodoo Lounge. We had a ball up there, plenty of drinks, views, dancing, and people watching. Usually go to the Mixx lounge and really found this Voodoo to be a nice change with the dance club vibe, large outdoor space and crowd that does not make a 30/40 something crowd feel like Grampies and Grammies. Definite party like a rock star day and night.

Friday morning, woke up feeling the effects of the Thursday. Walked up the strip to MGM/NYNY, lunch at Wolfgang pucks. Some slots and let it ride. Friday night was a birthday dinner at Roys, off the strip. In the taxi line had the limo guys working the line, and got a ride for $35 to Roys. Great dinner, food was good like usual, and some nice wines. Asked for them to call a taxi for us, and about 10 minutes later they still are saying they cannot seem to get in touch with one, finally they do but say they cannot get us a van................I hate squeezing 5 into a regular taxi, luckily limo was outside and got it for $30 back to Ceasars. Of course he tried the ole "that is $45" when we arrive at Ceasars, of course he ended up with the orignally agreed $30 (was not that drunk yet). Ceasars was packed, ended up having cocktails in the Seahorse lounge. Birthday girl had a good time, the limo rides for the travel that night added a nice touch.

Saturday, hit the Wynn, much luck on the slots there, lunch at the deli at the Sportsbook. Off to the top of the Stratosphere , just love to watch the folks on the crazy rides up there, then off to downtown, crowded down there, but settled into a let it ride table at 4 Queens, drink service was slow, but enjoyed the game, and one hand got dealt 3 Js(best hand of the entire trip), which gave me some money for the day to play with. Back to the Bellagio and for dinner at Sensi...........kinda of a whim to try this place out and let me say, a truly great dinning experience.....service was impeccable, wine list was wonderful, food delicious, and the desserts (yes we order one of each on the menu to share). the space has a great vibe, prices were good for the quality. Best meal of the trip.

Sunday morning up and out for a 11:30 am flight back home. As always feeling I would love to stay longer, but knowing time to head back to reality.

Think I have caught back up on sleep, and thinking when do I get to go back!!!!!!!!!

Awesome! Your description of Voodoo Lounge is spot-on in my opinion! Glad you loved Roy's (as usual).

How about October 20th or thereabouts as your next trip? :wink2:

Evil temptress!!!!!!!!!! October seems a little close, must be strong for at least 6 months.

the group of 7 of us who went to the Voodoo, truly had a ball and everyone was commenting on how much fun it was for the group. The mix of music bringing in some of the old school stuff (80s I am talking) into the mix was too much fun.

    Nicely done

    Nice read !.
I was thinking of doing that "Voodoo thannnngg" too on my birthday in Oct. Was trying to time it with the sunset...research indicates it to be around 6PM on Oct 24.Maybe a bit too early to eat & then hit the lounge...what time was your reservation and entrance to the lounge ?.

    Thanks, ECS.

Great trip report. If the Voodoo is playing 80s music, I might have to rethink it........haven't been in a long, long time!!
