I thought I would start this thread since I will be working a lot until I leave and I wanted to get a head start on my trip report because I love reading other peoples. Flying SW on Thursday at 2:35pm and landing around 4:30 from Houston, Texas. My Goal is to do a Live TR each morning while I wait for the others to wake up. We will see what the hang over does to me though.

There are 6 of us going all staying at Mirage and this is one of our best friends bachelor party. This is my 7th trip to Vegas and most of the other guys 3-4th trip. We have 2 tower suites reserved at Mirage for Thursday night (MyVegas) and hoping to try and $20 trick our self into a full weekend of the suite. We are mostly low-mid rollers meaning we play $10-15 BJ and under $10 craps. I guess that is a low roller but who knows what people standards are. I am taking $1500 for the trip to gamble and eat on.

Really planning on playing a lot of VP, BJ and Pia Gow. I love craps but my luck has been terrible at the local casinos. This will be a little different trip to Vegas for us because we have decided to take it a little easier than our last trip and just relax and enjoy some patio bars and drink instead of just running from casino to casino. We have all been there and know where things are. Any suggestions on Patio or Deck Bars in the strip to just chill and drink??

Food Plans: Samba Brazilian Steak House
    Bellagio Buffet (MyVegas)
    Mirage Buffet (MyVegas"
The Sporting Houston at NYNY (MyVegas)
    >?????
    >????? No other plans just going to wing it.

Other Plans: Carrot Top Saturday Night (MyVegas)
    OG Bottle Service Friday Night

We are possible looking for something else to do so please feel free to add suggestions.

I will do my best to update from time to time while we are on this trip. I know this is an early start but honestly it is all I can think about right now. I know there are a lot of people on this board that are the same way I am.

Might consider renting a limo for a couple of hours.

It could pick up all 6 of you & park downtown and wait while you played and drank your way through 4 or 5 casinos (Golden Gate, Nugget, Binions, 4 Queens, etc).

Then it could drive you all back to the Mirage.

The table limits are much lower downtown, and there is a fun vibe at night.

    Have fun!

The upper level of Diablo's is a great place for some drinks. Also, the place outside of Planet Hollywood (Cabo Wabo or something?) is good for people watching.

I second the suggestion to do one night downtown. We've done a couple bachelor parties and everyone usually has fun downtown... cheaper drinks (if you need to buy them)... live music.... there are a couple casinos that have party pits (the D, Golden Nugget, Golden gate definately have them). Its always a blast down there. A few of the places have bars that they open right on Fremont St.

Just a heads up on sporting House...... its wicked overpriced and service was terrible when I was there. if your voucher is for anywhere in NYNY I would suggest somewhere other than the Sporting House.... maybe do a nice steak dinner at Gallagers or go to the irish bar.
I've never done the upper level of Diablo's but I've sat at the bar and the first floor and they do like an hourly drink special..... always have fun there.

Since you are staying at the Mirage I would run across the street to Casino Royale... Cheap drinks are always a plus. One of the other posts mentioned that they're service Bud Light 16oz aluminum bottles for $1.50 now... in addition to their other specials.

I know PH has a couple bars on the street (I did the PBR bar, I think, on one of my trips and that was fun).
Flamingo has a small outdoor bar on the south side of the building and there is Maraghitaville.. but that place always seems packed.

We have $75 to the sporting house and $75 f&b credit. So we actually have $150 for use at the Sporting House.

We go downtown every trip and know about all the amazing gambling, odds and cheap drinks. Since we have so much planned to do at night we may try and make a day trip downtown. I can not wait to get there and get this started. Hell I can not even wait to get to the airport to have a pre-flight beer.

Also, Rhumbar at Mirage is a nice bar to drink and people watch.

The Bachelor really wanted to do a Brazilian Steak House so we chose Samba. Had good reviews and is in the hotel we are staying at.

Downtown is completely different during the day. Its like a twilight zone compared to the nightlife... so quiet and no crowds. But even during the day it is still fun and a lot cheaper than being on the strip. When we were there last time, wejust ended up bar hoping during the day. hit the bar at GN, then moved to the freemont, then the D's longbar and the bar upstairs,. Then back to Binions to play limit holdem. Drink service was phenomenal in the binions poker room and even when we were playing slots upstairs at the D.
Do yourself a favor ... if someone in the group says its a good idea to get a burger from the Heart Attack Grill.... don't do it. The quality wasnt that good and we all felt like crap after eating it.
