Anyone stay there recently? We just booked a stay at the MGM cause they contacted us and comped us 3 nights from our last visit there (we didn't stay there last time, but gambled there). I'm just wandering what's new at MGM - it's been about a year and a half since we were there, and things change fast in Vegas....:nworthy:

Off the top of my head:

No more lion habitat, new comedy show by brad garett, no more Seablue (replaced by a pub), and a new drinking/gambling spot in the middle of the casino near the craps pit

Whiskey Down is a pretty nice upscale place to play blackjack and have a great choice of libations.

There have been a few threads about his lately. Good place, lots of food and drink options and casino sections.

Curious - why do some people give such short subject titles?

A couple of other new things you'll see is the Avenue 24 cafe (replaced Studio Cafe) and the Pub 1842 in Studio Walk, a new Michael Mina place. If you go there I recommend the peanut butter crunch burger.

Just got back Thursday from a 4 night stay there.

As most have said Pub 1842 is new and worth a look

Whiskey Down which UK mentioned is right in the middle of the casino and is a great place to grab a drink and chill. A bunch of Tvs and couches along with 4 or 6 tables open when I was in there.....from what I remember $100 min blackjack

I do remember seeing a new place getting ready to open next to the monorail station in 'the district" portion of the property. Not sure what it is but looked like the final touches were being completed. Im thinking a Mexican food place possibly?

I think Beacher's Madhouse opens next month too? Anyone confirm this?

Spent some time in the poker room this trip and talking to the poker room manager he hinted at a more permanent location coming very soon (which would be nice because what they have now is horrendous)

In my last 2 stays which have both been at MGM, the Starbucks by the West wing lounge has been closed and emptied of menus and d├ęcor etc. (would imagine something will be popping up there eventually too)

Also noticed new electronic games in the area near the sportsbook and centrifuge lounge. Something like bubble craps, roulette and a blackjack game I think

    cheers all

The pub (Michael Mina Pub 1842) is fantastic, though. I definitely miss SeaBlue, but that Peanut Butter Crunch Burger haunts my dreams. Plus house-made carbonated cocktails.

We used to stay there a few years back and never ate there as they didn't have any place which appealed to us, but now they have an attractive selection of restaurants and we would like to try a few places out.

Check their web site as it will give a list of places to eat and their food selection.
