Well, hotels are already booked, but Mlife offer just arrived. New decision to make. A few questions.
Have all the rooms in MGM been renovated? How updated are the rooms at MB? Our offer is a deluxe room, (doesn't say grand) we would request a king. Same for MB, the offer is also a deluxe room. Kind of tempted to stay at MB since we've never stayed there yet. Walking around either resort isn't a concern.
First two nights we are at TI, so no worries about wanting to go up strip while staying at either MGM or MB.
We do spend time at the pools and like lazy rivers. I Like to relax, use the hot tub, test out the pool, do like wave pools, (crowded?) read and people watch. Don't want to fight for a lounge chair. We would be there week of Oct. 6.
Have stayed at MGM about 8 yrs ago, haven't stayed at MB. Like both the casinos. We just play slots. We are young 50's.
I'm wondering about the construction around NYNY. If we stay at MB and wanted to go over to MGM side of the street, just cross over from Excalibur to the Tropicana, can you just avoid all the mess?
Also, does MGM have any construction going on? They did last fall when we were there. Thank you all for your comments :nworthy:

    Hi Kitsi.

I stayed at MGM for a week - August 13th.

I don't believe all of the rooms are renovated (yet) - we stayed in a Grand King and it was wonderful...I believe (and I'm sure I read it on this Board) that the Petite King rooms / West Tower are not fully reno'd yet.

The pool at MGM was fantastic - this was the reason we stayed at this resort. During the Week (Tues - Fri), the pool was not overly busy and we never had an issue finding chairs for our party of 6. It did pick up on the weekends, but we always found somewhere to park ;) I don't think you'll have any issues...great for people watching.

Re: Construction - there wasn't any significant construction of note at MGM while we were there (believe there was one crane near the MGM sign out front, but no noise or distraction). There is lots of construction going on at NYNY, but it wasn't any issue - the sidewalk bypass in front of NYNY is easy to get through. YOu can cross from Excal to Trop to MGM - we did that a few times as well.

We really enjoyed MGM...hope you guys have a great trip!

Thank you so much for the information. It was very helpful, especially to hear the pools were not crazy during the week. We really liked the pool area last time we were there.
