This explains why my express comps was emptied out after my December trip at MGM.

It is a business like everything else. It just sucks as many gamblers have an idea of what they deserve or at least what they received in the past and when you take it away it sucks.

Good news is there's a lot of other casinos to patronize outside of MGM properties. ;)

I'm actually shocked anyone with $1000 F+B would be denied a limo. While a different property, I got a limo from the Linq in July and it was charged to my room before the host took care of it. It was $60. I find it crazy that a property could justify giving you that much freeplay and food and beverage but not approve a limo.

I'd rather have less food $ and the limo instead. :)

It does seem illogicial. To have a player come via limo gets the player Psyched into being a hot shot, comfortable, taken care of, and ready to throw away money. Just does not make sense. Cut the F&B $50-$100 if they must. Just treat the player well and get the money back.

My host called me the other day to complain to me about PGP. Every meeting he goes to they hammer the hosts on comps and free play. I told him flat out I won't be taking as many trips this year as past years and he told me he's already been hearing that from players.

His take was MGM thinks they've won the war and now that they're top dog they get to set policy and guests will fall into line.

Too bad it'll take at least a year to play out. Maybe I'll be able to put some more money in my retirement account.

Gold Strike in Tunica used to see me almost monthly, with serious donations. I started going every few months, so they cut my freeplay offers. I then started going even less. Wonder how that is working for the smart management?

Profit Growth Plan. Basically squeeze every cent they can out of you so their big wigs can get paid bonuses.

I am sure it is hurting the host paychecks as well so they have a right to be worked up.

I haven't posted here in a long time as we only go to Vegas now 1-2 times per year given we gamble mostly in the Reno area now. But, there is no doubt that MGM is tightening the reins. I was in Vegas two weeks ago for a friend's Bday trip......no limo for me either even though I have been platinum for many, many years. I asked the host about a limo return to the airport and she said "we'll look at your play"....well, pretty difficult to do when you aren't in the office. My long time MGM host (24 years at MGM and most recently at Aria) just left for Cosmo 3 weeks ago when she couldn't come to terms on her contract. So, next time I am in Vegas, it's Cosmo for me. I plan to burn through all my EC's as quickly as I can as it's clear MGM is hoping to clear the books very soon.

The offer I stayed on was not as much as yours (3 comped nights in a suite, $250 in free play and $200 in Resort credit), but no limo for me either--it actually cost me less for a cab than the limo tip....although I hated standing in that cab line for 20 minutes. LOL

I haven't been active in a LONG time as well. Last visit to Vegas was early last year? Surprisingly, my comps have gotten better... Just got a good spring offer from corporate.

Hi, luvstp! Good to hear from you. I wondered where you went. Thanks for the validation. I know how you play and I'd definitely think you'd get a limo.

And now to further complicate things, I got this offer in my email today. No limo, but it says "Complimentary Food and Beverage". Is that unlimited or tied to the $350 a day I've heard about before?

My offer is identical except for the free play, and my comp food and beverage is $350 per day. And even though a limo isn't mentioned, as it always used to be, when I booked this offer through VIP Marketing, she said it included a limo.

I'm still jealous of all of you who get Freeplay...lol. I still have never gotten Freeplay from Mlife. I seriously think they have me coded as a table player, even though I played a ton of slots last year. My table play is too small for them to waste the ink or bandwidth to offer me any freeplay.
