I have a Grand Premier View King Room reserved. Just got an email offering an upgrade (?) to a Stay Well Grand King. Cost is $16 per day plus tax.

Per MGM -> The Stay Well room at MGM Grand is the first of its kind in the world. Personalized Services, Advanced Room Lighting, Wake-Up Light Therapy, Night lighting, Dawn Simulator Alarm Clocks, Vitamin C Shower Infusion, Air Purification System, Aromatherapy,Water Filtration System,EMF Protection,Photo-Catalytic Coating and more...

Anyone have an opinion if this would be worth the upgrade charge? Anyone know if the Grand Premier View King Room has a better or worse view than the Stay Well Grand King?

Why the upgrade? Are they overstocked on the Stay Well Rooms?

I mean, it would be nice to be really away from the smoke. You would probably wake up more refreshed. Overall it's pretty gimmicky. I would guess there is no view. Most of the rooms at MGM don't really have one.

    Best part?

Enjoy exclusive access to the Stay Well Lounge, a registration area in the lobby designed only for our Stay Well and Prime Suite guests. Open 9am - 9pm daily, with complimentary fruit and water.

MGM has the worst line ever! It'd be worth it just for this. I guess it's up to you!

There might be a few Stay Well rooms on the top floors and Strip View side of the building. However, I don't think they will guarantee you one of these rooms if you were to upgrade from the Grand Premier View King room. If you're all about the view then just keep your current reservation. They're probably offering the upgrade since they have a few Stay Well rooms with availability, while being oversold on the Grand Premier View King rooms.

I will arrive at MGM in August on a Tuesday around 1 PM. Does anyone have an estimate of how long the check in line may be and how much time that relates to?

Stay well rooms are soooo not worth the extra money. It's Vegas, who needs special lighting or vitamin C infused water on vacation in Vegas. Stick with what you have and you will be fins.

One other item. As for checking in. I've checked in at 3pm on a sat with 1 person in line. And checked in on a wed night at 11pm and 30 people in line. Really depends on conventions and other stuff that can make everyone leave at once or check in.

I believe the StayWell rooms are all on the 14th floor. StayWell guests can go into the lounge (by main entrance) and get fresh fruit to snack on.
