OK. Been quite a while since our last trip, and I'm changing it up a bit. I've been staying DT (GN) for the last 10 or so trips, and we want a change of pace. So, were doing MGM. My question to you is Skyline Terrace Suite, or Marquee Suite? Why? Thanks in advance.

My mistake, I was at the MGM last night and found out the Terrace suites are more expensive since the renovations. The terrace suite splits its space between the outdoor and indoor area. Overall footage is the same just depends if you want to sit outside for a while.

The outside portion of the Terrace Suite really is appealing, but considerably more expensive than the Marquee, we'll also be there the week before Thanksgiving, so the cold some 30-40 floors whatever it is may be a issue for my wife.. MLife is down, so I cant get rates just yet.

I have never stayed in the Terrace, but I loved the Marquee with pool table. Really nice, although quite the long walk from elevator. There are pictures in my May trip report.

Here is my trip report on the Terrace Suite with pictures. The terrace suite's appeal is the terrace. The Marquee suite has a much larger area inside. The terrace suite I had was very nice - but the terrace wasn't nearly as large as the pictures on the web site show it as. Also, and others may disagree, have a multi-level suite was kind of a PITA. Whatever I was looking for was ALWAYS on the level I wasn't currently on :)

I am no MGM guy but i considered these suites for my upcoming trip. If money is no issue id go for the terrace suite. I never had a terrace or balcony in Vegas but i can imagine its really nice to have a beer inside your room but still outside before you call it a night.. Its on my Vegas bucket list.

The Terrace Suite is more expensive than the Marquee Suite.

They both have the wow factor, but the Terrace Suite is more glitzy.

The Marquee Suite has two bedrooms and seems like wasted space unless you need two bedrooms.

Some may depend on when you're going - coming from Boston, I'd have no problem hanging outside on the terrace even at night during the winter, but wouldn't spend much time on it at all during the summer. From Florida, you might be the opposite.

You could also consider a Penthouse City View suite, which is a very nice 1 bedroom at ~1,250 SF, with a great view, and cheaper than either of the other two.
