When you have book a grand king/queen room, do you later on before your trip get a email from MGM asking if you like to
upgrade your room to say a executive suite.

I'm pretty sure their executive suites are the first ones to get booked, so I doubt it. I suppose it's possible if you go during the week or during a slower time, though. Maybe someone else has a different experience

I booked there last week and the next day got an email with offers to upgrade. I think it was either an executive suite for $15 per night or a penthouse for $250 per night

I booked a Grand king last November for jan 2015. Right around Christmas I received an upgrade email for a one bedroom tower suite

I have a Grand King booked for August 1, I received an email for an upgrade to a Spa Suite for $35 a night more. I didn't see the email in time and it expired when I clicked on the link. Don't know if I would have taken that upgrade for that much. Hoping I still get an upgrade offer for the Executive King. But the Grand King suits us just fine too.
