I booked a comp room for MGM Grand Sept 8-12. Gotta pay for Sat night.

While Vegas surfing today I noticed MGM was sold out Sunday Sept 9th. Does anyone know why MGM is sold out that weekend?

I did not see a big concert or anything going on at the grand arena at that time. It is week 1 of the NFL but that does not explain a Sunday night sellout.

Just wondering if there is a cowgirl rodeo or porno convention going on that weekend.
It might alter how I pack.

    Thanks.

there's nothing big going on that weekend at MGM. i scheduled my party that weekend specifically for that reason. but Sunday is an odd night to be sold out rather than Saturday night.

Chrysler Motors Corporation has most of the hotel (MGM Grand) booked for Sept 9-11 for their annual New Car Showing to their 2500 new car dealers and numerous employees scattered throughout the country. I'm sure that's why it is sold out.
