question on offer "get it while it's hot"

I have been hunting down deals for a few weeks. As of now I am booked at MGM Grand 7 nights for:

NEW! Grand Queen Room: MGM Hot Deals

    $722.40 + 175.00 resort fee = 897.40

This other "hot" offer adds 2 Complimentary Buffets per stay, ( is that per night?)

    NEW! Grand Queen Room for 1,202.88 + 175.00 resort fee = 1,377.88.

so even without the buffet, isn't my current deal better? I am not sure how much a buffet costs?

Is my deal a good one or should I keep looking? We could change resorts too, we just don't know enough about the hotels and such to know what we like yet. Any suggestions?

If it says per stay, it's 2 TOTAL. It would say daily if they were offering it each day.

I always keep looking for a better deal. That's part of the fun of going to Vegas for me. I've already rebooked my hotel on my next trip 3 times because I keep finding a better offer.

    MODERATOR NOTE:
I moved this question to the Strip section where you may get more answers.

Thanks for the reply! I could keep looking, but there is sooo many hotels and I could spend wayyy to many hours on it. I am also looking at show deals and everything else. Wish I knew what resort we would like best, but I think that takes a couple trips to figure out.

Having gone a gazillion times to Disney, I can book a Disney trip in my sleep! I just need to get to that level with Vegas :haha:

Be careful when booking the "2 Free Buffet" or "$50-$100 resort credit" deals -- almost 100% of the time there will be a standard deal with out the free buffet or credit that will coincidentally have rates at a price less if you were to include that credit.

Thanks. The deal I got can from a newsletter. It did not offer either buffet or credits. It did give me far less rate than MGM's site deals tho :)

Yeah, I see the price they offered for 2 complimentary buffet's added $400. Unless the buffet presents you with a dinner favor in the form a Rolex - definitely stay away and buy your own food.

Always go with the cheaper price. Nothing they throw in is usually worth it. Last year we had 2 free buffets when we stayed at Vdara and everytime we tried to go to one there was like 50000 people inline, so we ended up not even using it.

If it were all the same, sure go for the buffets..but otherwise you're better off without it, and the buffet is only average anyways. Oh, and I'm quite sure its two buffets, not two per day.

With a free buffet offer you should of been able to go ahead of the crowd in the VIP, Special Guest, Invited Guest or what it's called at that hotel......never had to wait in line with a comped offer.
