    Is MGM Grand Detroit worth going to? I am going to Detroit soon. Is there a sportsbook? Are there complimentary drinks if you a gambling?

    I don't think MGM Detroit has a sports book or free drinks. The last I heard you can't even pay for drink with chips, cash only. High table minimums and lousy vp pay schedules.

    MGM Detroit I would not waste my time. I live 1 hour away and only been one time. Lousey odds on everything.

    I would say it's worth going if you just want to check it out and not do any serious gambling. You could also hit Motor City Casino and Greektown Casino as well. I recommend eating dinner in Greektown at one of the Greek restaurants on Monroe Street.

    Just a word of warning if you've not been here before. The casinos are not in the best of neighborhoods, just be aware of your surroundings at all times and you should be fine.
