What is your opinion of the MGM Grand buffet? I was thinking about going there for breakfast on a weekday.

Last time I was there, a year or two ago, it was fine... nothing special like Wynn, but not to be avoided like Circus Circus. I'd say if you're staying at MGM or in the area, then it's worth checking out, but I wouldn't take a cab from Bellagio for it.

I haven't had the breakfast buffet at MGM...but I tried the dinner buffet. The food was tasteless.I was not impressed by the selection. I left still hungry. How do you leave a buffet hungry? The food was that bad imo. I will never eat at MGM again.:grrr:

I've eaten there a number of times over the years and its completely average. Breakfast was good, but I wasn't very impressed by dinner. Only worth it if you are staying at MGM or NYNY and are in a hurry. Better to go further south to Mandalay Bay or further north to PH, Paris or Bellagio. Forget about Luxor and Excalibur in that area too.

I ate breakfast there about a month ago and I was extremely impressed. Excellent selection, and the food was yummy.

This was on a Sunday though so I'm not sure if it'd be different on a weekday.

There is nothing "Grand" about it but it's good....just above average IMHO....MUCH better then eating breakfasts at the Studio Cafe.....and probably cheaper too......if it's a full breakfast your looking for and your staying at MGM Grand the buffet is the way to go.

$17.25....not cheap. It ought to be "very good" for the price.

You're right...NOT CHEAP but when you compare it to the $16.99 I paid for Eggs Benedict at the Studio Cafe, it's a MUCH better deal....and I paid extra for coffee...not good :<(

    Geez, that IS expensive.

Denny's breakfast is only half that price.

What everyone has said pretty much describes the MGM buffet. Nothing to add.
