MGM Execuitve Suite Questions

  1. I've booked a King Executive suite for the first week of April (2-5). Just have a few questions.

    1) I know the MGM isn't known for their views but is there an area where I can even get a south strip view or across to NY NY or Monte Carlo?

    2) Would a $20 trick get me an upgrade to a larger suite or if I ask just a Spa Executive Suite?

Thanks for the help in advance.

I've stayed a few times now at MGM and each time I've had a great view of the south strip.

Sorry, I have no clue if the $20 trick will get you an upgrade.

Stayed in a queen suite a few months back. depending on which leg of the hotel you are in (hotel towers are shaped like a plus sign +) you can get a good view. If you are on the north leg you can get a good view of NYNY and see all the way down to city center. If you are on the south leg you can see NYNY all the way down to mandalay. If you are facing east you will see mountains and the airport.

Not sure about the $20 trick either. When i wa there last time, they had the Eagles concert and they were almost completely sold out that weekend so there was no chance at all for an upgrade even if i paid for it. Its worth a shot.... worst they're gonna do is say no.
