I booked a Friday and Saturday in March at Delano with an Mlife offer, and then that Sunday at Mandalay Bay with a MyVegas room comp. I called guest services to see how much it would be to upgrade the Mandalay Bay room to the Delano room, and was told it would be an additional $50. Is it worth it to pay the extra money now, or should I try to ask nicely and maybe with a $20 when I check in? It would kind of be a pain in the butt to have to move Sunday for one night, but I don't know if it's a $50 pain.

    Thanks!

Are you getting the rooms comped or paying? I just stayed recently at the Delano... had two paid nights and one free night at Mandalay like you. I called up the Delano (like a week before) and asked if its possible to keep my room all 3 nights instead of having to switch. The lady mentioned that she would forward my request and a few days before my stay they would see what they could do. She said if they weren't able to accommodate that, I could request a late checkout at the Delano and a early check-in at MB so I'm not without a room.

Fast forward to my stay... I was granted the request when I checked in, didn't pay anything extra. I did get locked out of my room and had to get new keys, but that took 10 minutes. I'd say try calling up again and play it the way I did or just ask at check-in.

Thanks JoJo! The Delano rooms are comped. I'll try calling again closer to my arrival date. If that doesn't work, I'll ask politely at check-in.

I honestly, would pay. $50 for a Delano room doesn't seem bad to me right!? (especially since everything else was comped..) Besides, what's $30 more... to 100% guarantee you won't have an issue?
