Is there any bets in the vegas sports books that you can bet if the fight will be a go or a no go?

    Thanks all!

This fight is 5 years too late.
I'm sure people will pay to see it, though.

Cheapest CET room I saw was Rio for $216. They're quick.

Not an expert, but I predict Mayweather in a unanimous decision. To really make a crazy guess, I think he will win 7 rounds, lose 4 and split a round.

    Yes and yes.

Pac will be UP for this fight, but Mayweather will hit and run enough to win by decision when it's all over, just like wouldda happened 5 years ago.

What's the point of being in town for an event for which one won't have tickets?

As others have stated, the energy for a big event like this (essentially once every 5-10 year event) will be tremendous everywhere in Vegas. And it might actually be better to watch the fight on a big screen by pay per view unless you have good seats. Just to say you were in town for the Big Event to witness firsthand a fight crowd would be awesome, since all the A-listers from Sports and Hollywood etc will be in town. So your chances of actually gambling with a star go way up. For some, this is worth the trip.

    I sure as hell wouldn't.

    for your average person:
    - hotel rates are through the roof and even if you're able to get comped, you're getting downgraded from what room/suite you're normally in
    - table limits are sky high
    - tables are packed and hard to even get a seat at any minimum
    - all decent restaurants are slammed, hard to get a res
    - taxi lines and basically anything else with a line is out the door

if you're willing to put up with that sort of thing just to feel the energy of the town,

you're better off going for NYE where at least you're celebrating something.

I'm comped at the Wynn for fight weekend. Are there going to be viewing parties in casinos like the Super Bowl?

Yes at most MLife casinos and the Sports Bar Diablos by Monte Carlo usually has Mayweather fights.

MGM Grand had even a viewing event in one ballroom for Pacman vs Bradley 2.
I think it was $50 or $75...but i dont know if anything was included.

Rumors are they aren't comping seats for the fight and you have to have a 250k credit line with MGM to be able to get ringside seats.
