The May promo coming in to the B Connected is in some way broken. It does not load anything in May and a call to the desk was of no help. She kept insisting that it must be my misreading of the promo.

Here was the code listed SAMOFR3
Totally useless as it is just a general code for offers good all year and not the May code at all.

I put a note on Facebook. I asked the clerk to tell someone they had an error. She said she would once she finally got that I was insisting that I was NOT misreading the email or the offer in my B Connect but that it had been miscomposed. I expect from her attitude and tone that she will do nothing.

So, I can wait. But if anyone knows anyone over at Sam's Town, perhaps they can pass along the frustration.

    I got an answer already.

The offer you're referring to (SAMOFR) is the only offer you received for May. Except for 3 months in 2012, it's also the same offer you received in prior months. It provides for comp nights and special rates on select dates with a 2 night minimum and 7 night maximum. It also provides a free fun book on select dates. When you click on the little box that says Receive Your Room Offer, you'll see a little box in the middle of the big box that says Book Online. When click on that, it brings up a calendar showing rates and available dates for January, February & March. Unfortunately, this offer can only be booked 3 months at a time. At the end of March, you will then be able to book April, May and June. This is true both for online booking and booking through Room Reservations.

So, basically, I have an offer in May but I don't know what it will be until March, but they mailed it out this week anyway because????
Very strange. Still, I get it.
In March I can check the offers.
If I end up going in May, by March I'll already be planned and booked and unlikely to care what the offer is.

I have still never received a mail offer from Boyd. We stayed at Orleans in December. I do see things on the B Connected site, but not anything helpful. I would expect a mailer by now...

Also, Dewey, do you have a contact email for someone in the B Connected program? I sent an email to the general contact email address last week, and it has not been responded to as of a few minutes ago.

    Thanks

I get some mailers, but I really get the offers on B Connected. Part of my trouble is that the post card offers do not get forwarded to my snow bird florida address, so I have to call and ask in places like the Four Queens and the D.
I don't know how to contact the B Connected and I don't think they really regulate. Perhaps someone knows more about that. I'd contact the casino of interest directly. I did. At Sam's I sent it to [email protected] and I got the answer above on a Sunday in just a few hours. Include your card number.
If you have a question regarding comps at a number of places, just send the same email to the contacts at each casino. They will know what they can or can't do.
Also the counter folks at each casino can look you up and see your offers most of the time. This last time, she just did not seem able to do that, but that is because my offer cannot be seen or booked yet. Why they sent me an email telling me I could "receive" my May offers is just beyond my common sense. I could not "receive" anything real until late March.

Thanks Dewey. I'll try that. I think I just sent an email to the general email for the casino. I logged into my B Connected account and see where I can send an email to a specific casino, although I can't see an email address specifically... I may need to look around the site a little more

    Okay, then.
Sam's Town dropped the "You can receive your May offer" notice from my B Connected box. Would it have been too much for either the clerk or the emailed official to write and say, "Hey, ya know, you were right about that. This makes no sense. We'll send you the offer when it is possible to book it"?
See, that would have made me feel differently about them.
    But that's just me.

I did get a prompt response from the email however. I'll give them that credit.
