Anyone do the flight for $85 per person? Was it worth it? Is it hard to reserve a time?

    We'll be there in March.

    Too short.

Do the sunset Grand Canyon trip. They take you over the strip at night at the end.

    Great trip worth every penny.

I did it a while ago, and got too drunk on the free champagne they offer while waiting that I don't remember much of the flight :)

In all seriousness though, it is very short. With the ride there and back, along with waiting to get on the helicopter (which for me was over an hour), it will end up taking up 3-4 hours of your time for a 10 minute flight in the air. Not worth it in my opinion.

If you have a group who want to go, does each person need to use the reward or is it one reward for the group?

We got the comp one. It is fun but I don't know that I'd pay $85 for it. Hour of shuttle riding and 15 minutes of drinking cheap sparkling wine to get ready for a 10-15 minute flight. If you are going to do it, sit behind the pilot on the left.

Exactly, we did this on our last trip and it was amazing.

Do these places actually weigh the groups before they get on the helicopter?

Yes you have to step on a scale before you fly and if you are over the weight limit you have to pay extra as less people can fly on the helicopter.

I did it years back. Bit pricey but had a lot of champagne...LOL! But did enjoy it.

Has anyone managed to redeem the comp flight recently? I've been straight on there during the refresh but never seen it change from sold out :(

I got mine a short time ago. I had experienced the same results as you until I noticed a refresh time that repeated itself for a few weeks. Once I was within the 90 day redemption window, I lurked on MyVegas and got the reward, I think there are only one or two rewards that become available each day. Good luck.

When we hit ours it was basically luck. Randomly checked after a reload, there were 2 left. I redeemed one and texted my buddy and he got the other

There is no specific time for the refresh anymore, as far as i know. ..maybe you might want to try checking at random times?

I know - that's what I meant. I've been checking every day waiting for the refresh and even when there is one, I managed to get lots of other things that are always sold out but never this one.

if you have the mobile apps, you may want to try on one of them. Sometimes its easier to get rewards on them. About two weeks ago I did a random check and the comp flight was available, and I got it.
