Hello everyone. I have only been to Vegas once but it was one of the best vacations I've ever had. It was a solo trip and I stayed at the Aria. Me and my girlfriend are planning a trip together in late April but haven't ironed out any details. Been on the web trying to figure out what would be best and I'm driving myself crazy;) Just want to find somewhere nice without paying a fortune(like the Aria). Anyways, I plan on spending some time here on these boards and will probably talk with some of you soon.

Welcome, Matt! I am impressed that your first trip was solo. It took me years to figure out how great solo Vegas trips are. Lot of good info on this board, and helpful people!

You might want to downplay Aria to the GF. There are many nice places (not like Aria, but plenty nice) that are also good values. Most of them are not on the Strip, so you have more options if you can be flexible in that way.

Welcome to the board, hope you find the perfect place for your trip. Maybe check out Mirage - it's no Aria, certainly, but they have some nice rooms and if you dig around you can find reasonable rates. Mandalay Bay has nice rooms too, but the location is not super convenient.

If cost weren't a factor, I'd say Cosmo - get a room with a balcony overlooking the Bellagio fountains, super romantic. You would get so lucky, and I don't mean in the casino.
