Flight - Flew direct - Southwest out of Buffalo for $380 apiece for my wife and me. Plane was late coming into Buffalo, but we made the trip in good time. It took about 10 minutes to get the luggage. Cab line was quite long, but it moved quickly. Hotel - We stayed at Harrah's. Check-in was very quick. I was disappointed that the room did not have a coffee pot. Room was clean and quiet. Friday night - We went to Casino Royale for the Michelob and Margarita specials. The Margarita machine was gone!! I read that that it might be gone, but I did not believe it until I was there. What a dumb move by Casino Royale. Very little reason to ever enter that dump again. We ate a cheese and mushroom pizza from the food court at the Flamingo. Pizza was large and tasty. Saturday - The highlight of the day was Celine Dion at Caesar's Palace. The show was excellent! The show emphasized the music more than her previous show which showcased the dancers and technology. Sunday - Our show for Sunday was "Dancing Queen" at New York, New York." This show was very intimate in a rather small theatre. Very enjoyable. Observations: The Quad - The casino looked much better. My wife really enjoyed watching the Dealertainers. The boy who imitated Michael Jackson was a very gifted athlete. Drink service was very good. Harrah's - The staff was extremely friendly. The location is great. We had a great breakfast at the cafe. Flowers - It was great to see some flowers. Walking without a coat was very enjoyable. I love Erie, PA , but winter seems longer as my age increases. Gambling - I was crushed by the slots for the entire trip. My best hit was at Ellis Island. Ellis Island - Great steak special!
