I posted in sticky but hoping a new thread might get quicker response

Snagged a free night @ Mandalay Bay & show tickets @ Zarkana.

Now to decide whether it's worth the extra haul to Bellagio for the buffet or just enjoy Aria.

Trying to be realistic about how much travel time will be involved. Will be there on Thursday, Oct 1st. I'm a slow walker @ best, snail's pace in heels.

Was told taking a cab from MB isn't a good idea as all cabs head south on the strip. If in area of $30, I'm good, otherwise will hoof it.

Have taken the tram from MB to Excalibur, walked over to NYNY but from there, it's new territory for me.

Told to walk to where the shops are @ Monte Carlo & hop on tram to Bellagio, if that is where we will eat.

What I'm especially confused about is which stop to use for Aria buffet/show. I've read both to walk over from MC or stop @ the Crystal Shop exit.

    help me please lol

Just need to know how much time I really need to a lot to make this work, thinking best to do buffet 1st (early enough to have time to poke around the casino) and late show.

Normally, not so nit picky but only 24 hr in vegas, need to make it count.:D

Cabs do go south, but they then make a u turn and can head north up the strip. I have taken a cab from MB many times to other strip places. It should be under $20 to Aria.

To walk you can take the tram to Excalibur, the walk past nyny to Monte Carlo. You can then walk through Monte Carlo and their shops and get to the back of Aria. Or you can just walk through down the strip past Monte Carlo and towards Aria. I've done it both ways and it's even to me which is quicker/shorter. It's not a easy short walk but it's doable.

/\ thank you, it's worth a quick $20 for a cab imo! will walk/tram back later when cooler.

If time is your concern, I'd just eat at the Aria buffet.

If I go to see Ka, I plat to eat at MGM, for Blue Man Group, I used to eat at Monte Carlo.

For Zarkana, eat at Aria, it's a short walk from Aria buffet to Zarkana theater.

There doesn't seem to be a stop in the Aria near the buffet/theater. I would have the cab drop me off at the valet station on the north side of Aria (in the circle).

Best way. cost about 10 bucks and takes less than 10 minutes, leave out of Delano taxi area, take Sinatra to Park right by the new arena, through the Monte Carlo taxi area, through the parking garage to the North and bam you are at Aria.

    Great, taking notes, thanks all.

we usually do a buffet in 'home' hotel or show, will be doing breakfast @ MB. Don't like to eat @ same buffet twice in a trip and I see rewards for Aria or Bellagio
