I tried to do a search on this question but came up empty.

Friday will be my 3rd trip to Mandalay.

Last time, they gave me a pool view sky suite, claiming no strip views were available.

Does anyone know the specific room numbers on floors 60 - 62 that have the best strip views?

    Thanks!

Numbers that end in 2-and-an-odd-number. Like 62223.

2 is the wing on the east side of the building and odd numbered rooms face north.

Did you book the Sky Suite or are you getting upgraded with the $20 trick? I only ask because I will be going to Mandalay Bay in 2 weeks. Thank You.

My host from MGM Resorts New Jersey office books all my itineraries and they set it up for a 1-bedroom suite which translates to the Sky View Suite. I like having the private elevators for floors 60 - 62. When I stayed on lower floors, it was a nightmare with the elevators.

I've never tried the $20 trick. Good luck and have fun!

That's why you stay at The Hotel and avoid the MB elevator drama.

Floors 60 - 62 at MB have their own unmarked bank of 4 elevators. It's freakin' sweet! :Þ

You may want to inquire about an upgrade to the X3 suite, if available. Terrific suite and a wonderful rain shower, but not your typical rain shower head.

I've never asked for an upgrade, but I just might. The worst that can happen is they'll say "No".

I've seen reviews where people claim that between waiting for an elevator and then having the elevator stop at virtually every floor, it can take 25-30 minutes to get from the lobby floor to their Hotel room. Is it really this bad??

Normally it is not that long even at worst. Although it could take up to a half hour right when the pools close and elevator lines start to back up.

I stayed there over fathers day weekend and it was this bad for almost the whole weekend. Only time there wasn't a line was late at night. I've never seen this happen at a hotel before and it was real bad. I don't know if they had elevators off line or what but multiple times the line was so long they were having security bring people up to their rooms on the service elevators.

I stayed there in April during the CMA awards and it never took long at all for me to get to my room or get to the lobby from my room? Just my experience it's never taken longer than 5 min to get on and off the elavator
