I have comps for both 3 nights at Mandalay, or 3 nights in a NYNY suite.

I usually stay at NYNY, and I really like the casino/energy there.

I have spent a little time at Mandalay, but never late at night, and never for extended periods. I am a little nervous about staying even further south down the strip.

How does the energy in the casino compare at Mandalay? Also, what are min limits at Mandalay after about 4:00 PM on a weekend? I like to play carnie games, bj, craps.

    Thanks!

Mandalay Bay doesn't have much in the energy department IMHO. We used to stay st Mandalay quite a bit, then moved to NYNY, now more at Paris. Last summer we went back to Mandalay to gamble and to us it was pretty much a big yawn. Everything is so spread out but there's not a lot of anything.
Last time I played cards on a weekend there the minimums were $15.

    Have stayed at both.

Suites at NY are sometimes strange... like most of the rooms there.

    Fun casino, but small.

MB has way more floor, eating options, etc.

I am tossed between the two, but would lean towards MB. If you have never done it, give it a shot, just for the change.

NYNY simply because of the location.
We stayed at Luxor once and felt most of the time was spent retracing steps.
Since we like to walk the strip each day, I wouldn't stay further south then NYNY or MGM.

I don't think there is much energy on the casino floor in Mandalay Bay. That said, it's obviously a nice resort.

I think NY NY is a lot more fun. The fact that it's a suite is what would sell it for me. Plus, it's that much closer to the action.

The basic suite at NYNY is not much of a suite. Jacuzzi tub plus sitting area is what you gain. Usually if you are at that level of comp, you have a basic Aria room in the mix which is much nicer than the NYNY suite. I would call Mlife and check.

Yeah, I have two nights at Aria or Bellagio. I have never stayed at either, but have gambled a bit at Aria. I like both of them, but it's fewer nights and the casino mins are always really high. I like to play some carnie games (Crazy 4, UTH, etc), and if the minimum is $15 on those games your money burns fast.

It's good to know there is no energy at the MB casino floor, though. That might be a deal-killer ofr me.
