    Overview:

In May, I accepted a new job. Originally, we planned to go to Vegas in October but the new job meant that it would take time to accrue PTO. Plus, I had use or lose PTO; I am only able to cash out 240 hours of vacation time. I had 5 days of PTO that I must use. We checked the flights on Southwest and it was only $48 total to change our flights. Love me some Southwest. I called up our host and he made the necessary changes to our earlier reservation. We are good to go.

The vacation time that is being cashed out is being viewed as found money, especially because my new company gave me a nice signing bonus. All the vacation money is going towards this trip. As a result, this has allowed us to increase my bankroll and my wife's shopping budget. You won't see a cool picture of my bankroll since I have a LOC.

My main poison in blackjack. My wife's poison is designer handbags (Chanel, Gucci, etc.) and shoes. We might be different from some couples but at least 2 times during the trip we will go off and do our own thing for most of the day. She will shop while I hit the tables, but sometimes I will low roll and wander the strip. On those days, we always get together for dinner and spend the evening together.

We are not big planners. We do have dinner reservations for L'Atelier but nothing else formally planned. Things we are thinking about doing are RM Seafood, Bouchon, Julian Serrano, 1923 Bourbon and Burlesque. I received a few inquiries by host from SLS so we will likely go check it out.

In sum, it will be a lot of drinking, gambling and shopping.

Good for you! The only time we go our separate ways is when I hit the Gym & Spa early in the morning.
And we'll start off in the Casinos together but then later Divide & Conquer because we like different machines!
We stay in touch by Text Message and if one of us hits a nice Bonus we will "Even" the other person up!
In other words - We split the winnings and keep going! My favorite iPhone shortcut is: WRU?

Have a great time and good luck!! When my girlfriend goes to Vegas with me, we also do our own things. She doesn't gamble, so when I hit the tables or hang out in the sportsbook, she goes shopping and just loves walking the strip and visiting all the different hotels. We meet up for dinner and I take her to shows almost every night. Afterwards I go back to the casino at night and she goes to relax in the room. I love that we can do our own things in Vegas and not constantly be together 24/7. We get enough of that at home since we live together for 3 years already!!:haha:

I think it is healthy for our relationship. There is nothing wrong with a little me time. We still spend plenty of time together but it is not 24/7. I will walk with her in the morning to where she wants to shop. Usually, on the first day she wants to hit the mall. Then the next time she hits Caesars, the Venetian and Crystals. She gambles but is mostly a slot player. She will play some blackjack but she likes to play at a $5 table. The last time we were there I was playing at a table with a couple of very fun guys at $50 DD table. We were on a serious roll. It got even better when she showed up. One of the guys said why don't you have your wife cut the next shoe. She did and the shoe turned out great (more for them than me but I was still winning). They started giving her a consulting fee after each cut. She ended $300 up after a couple hours. Not too shabby.

1923 Bourbon and Burlesque has been closed for about a year.

    Good luck on BJ!

Congrats on the new gig. It's always good to get a nice purge before starting a new job. seems like forever before PTO accrues! Anyway, have a great time. Eagerly anticipating your TR.

Thanks for the information on 1923. Disappointed to see that they took away the burlesque aspect. Will probably not go now. We will find something else to do. Just packed and we will be hopping on the plane in less than 24 hours. I will try to do a live trip report but if not I will do a nice write up.
