I see that on the M Resort they have a buffet comp listed. Looking to go for the Seafood Buffet that seems to be available only on weekends.

It says that I need: 700 Points on Reel Slots or 2,000 points if i'm playing video poker.
On their website it also lists that 333 points is equivalent to $1 in comp.

My question is, does anyone know the amount of coin-in required in order to earn 1 point on a slot machine and how much on a VP machine?

    Thanks.

The answer you are looking for is $1 coin in earns a point in VP and slots. For the buffet comp there are different point requirements, a higher amount of VP points are required for the buffet comp when playing versus slot points.

I'll put my word in that I like both buffets, but I think the weekend seafood buffet is overpriced compared to the weekday buffet (both for cash and comps), and the lines tend to get much longer). Snow crab and shrimp to me are no big deal and so aren't worth the extra cost. 1300 VP points for the weekday dinner buffet is the biggest bargain comp in LV, period.

I'll add to this as no one came right out and said it.

It's $1 to earn a point so buffet comps at M require the following coin-in:

    Lunch $850 coin-in
    Dinner $1300 coin-in
    Seafood Buffet $2000 coin-in

As a side note. VPfree2 keeps all player clubs details pretty much up to date. You can get coin-in requirements for a point for pretty much every casino in Vegas.

    Thanks for the info!

$1 Coin-In = 1 Point ? That definitely doable to earn one of the buffets.

Much better than $15 Coin-In = 1 Point over at the Wynn trying to earn their buffet.

I guess the minor issue is that M Resort is not that easily accessible from the strip, and that I have to claim my buffet before 7PM.
