I was hoping you guys could help.... I am currently GOLD, planning Oct trip. If I purchase show tickets thru M Life .com, will that purchase apply toward my tier credits? Or Best to purchase at Box office when we arrive?

    Thanks!

Not sure if they will count, but the question you have to ask, how much credit will you get on a $200 purchase?

    Answer - very little.

THanks nostress! But if we are going to purchase tickets anyway,,,,,,some credit is better than no credit - right? OR would it benefit us to wait til we arrive? OR all the same?

Get them at the box office when you get here. You get a discount on most shows when you show them your MLife card. If you pay any amount of the ticket price with your express comps they will waive the LET tax which is usually 10% of the ticket price. Even if you only use $5 of express comps they will waive it.

If you purchase online, there's no place to put your MLife number, so you won't get credit (at least that's the way it worked earlier this year, I know from experience). You'll have to email them at [email protected] with your MLife number and scans of the ticket stubs to get your Tier Credit. I would say it's probably worth it if you're close to shifting tiers (though with the October reset, who knows). I believe you get 25 credits per dollar, so 5000 credits for $200. I did that, and it took about a week for them to put the credits into my account.

As KingBBInLV said, some shows give significant discounts if you purchase live at the ticket office - for example Ka is giving 30% off to MLife members on select dates (read: mid-week typically), though keep in mind the selection of seats may not be as good as if you booked in advance.

I would look at the shows you want to see on their official site or that of the affiliated casino, since sometimes they give out online coupons there as well.

Overall, if you really want to see a specific show at specific seats, definitely book in advance. If you don't care as much, show up at the ticket office and see if you can get discounts on good seats (and get your tier credits faster). If you mostly care about price and the credits don't matter much, so get tickets through Tics4tonight or a similar discount outfit. This is basically my strategy with shows - splurge on good seats for select shows, and get the discount tics for ones where seating doesn't matter as much and you're not as sure you'll enjoy.
