How are the rates Sh0ck? Have you used it yet? Like a typical airport to Harrahs run?
I haven't been to Vegas since they started allowing Lyft to operate at the airport, but just reading other people's experiences, it looks like Lyft and Uber rates have been about 25-50% lower than taking a cab around town. I'm thinking about giving them a try on my next trip out to get around town just to see how it goes.
There is an app for smartphones called "Zailoo" that will give you fare estimates for Lyft, Uber, and a taxi. Just enter your origin and your destination and fare estimates will be calculated for you. It's also smart enough to only provide estimates where service is available. For example, entering LAS as your point of origin won't yield Uber estimates.
This was from McCarran to Ballys
And from Bally's to McCarran was a little cheaper, $14.06
I split the above into it's own topic so as to not derail Tom's thread.
I wonder how things would go if you didn't want to pay the Trust and Service Fee? :confused2:
There have been some threads on TA about fares folks have gotten. They look really good but I don't know how many of them were enhanced by the different credits they are offering.
Uber has a fare estimate tool built into the app. Since they aren't officially allowed at the airport yet, set the pin next to the airport and add a dollar or two to the estimate. That'll get you an approximate cost (then use Lyft since they are allowed at the airport).
last Saturday morning I used Uber from Harrah's to the airport, total was $15.59.
