I read from previous threads that Pyramid is older. So I am choosing a Tower Deluxe Queen room. In the various threads, people mentioned an East or West tower. If I have a choice, which tower is better? Advantages or disadvantages of either?

    Thanks for any info.

was at the west tower... rooms seem nicer (have never stayed at the pyramid). the walk to the casino is a bit long though and unfortunately i had a room at the end of the hallway so it just seemed that much further.

I don't think there's much of a difference between the towers. I've only stayed in each one once or twice, but the decor all appeared the same.

West tower has easier access to the pool. Skip the pyramid rooms, in fact, run away from them.

agree with flusher - I like the west tower because it's close to the pool, I've stayed in both towers and room-wise I didn't notice a difference....

Funny enough, I've probably spent 14 nights or so at the Luxor and have never been in the pool.

I've stayed at Luxor twice and both times was comped to stay at the suite. I pick the Pyramid the first time simply I wanna experience it. The 2nd time I also picked the pyramid because I had buddy that came with me and the queens suite only offered in Pyramid.

Overall experience, ok a bit run down but who spend their time in the room right ? Walking from room to casino is a bit far tho.

When I was there in December 2014 the west tower was the only one with wifi (not every floor either)- no clue if that's changed.

We like the West Tower because it's closer to the parking garage and the gym is right there. If you can get one, ask for Tower Luxury suite.

We always stay in the East tower facing the airport, so we get a partial view of the strip and we can watch the planes flying in and out, the other views from the East tower would be: West tower, Excalibur, Mandalay or the Pyramid. The East tower has quicker access to the lobby, atrium level and walkway to Excalibur. We had WiFi in the East tower when we stayed there last so I believe all rooms now have WiFi access.

The West tower, is of course, behind the East tower will mainly have views of the mountains, Mandalay, Excalibur, East Tower or the Pyramid. The west tower has quicker access to the parking garage, spa, gym and pool. The East tower has quicker access to the lobby, atrium level and walkway to Excalibur.

I hope this helps you choose :)

Thanks! Exactly what I was looking for.

East tower is probably better fit. Quicker access to lobby and casino is what I want. Won't use the pool.
