    Has anyone stayed here?

Just one night in a pyramid room, was wondering if they have safes in them?

Also her is the parking garage and how far away is it.

    thanks

Stayed in the tower and the pyramid room. The tower rooms are upgraded. My husband wanted to stay in the pyramid. We were in a king room -- just a plain king. i was surprisingly impressed -- It was actually very nice - a little small but met our needs. No bathtubs just shower but bathroom was nice. They do have safes in the pyramid rooms -- at least ours did. We were there in December - one complaint I have heard is that they pyramid rooms get a little hot in the summer. -- Val

The parking garage is a short walk. Its behind the pyramid (obviously) and there is a small covered walkway from the parking garage to the rear of the pyramid. The walkway ends at the back of the casino, near the buffet

Yeah. I probably wouldn't want to stay in the pyramid during the summer. We stayed there last month on a Saturday night, the high was in the 70s, but it still didn't help cool off the room that much. The a.c. in our room was weak. Also the room leaked on us a bit when it rained thanks to an issue on an above floor. This is apparently a common problem thanks to the pyramid's ancient glass seals. The pyramid look is cool, but practical it is not.

Pics of our room, 6020. Don't let them assign you this room!

Also parking can be a bit of a nightmare on a weekend. Parking garage distance is average. But only two floors.

You have to stay in the Pyramid at least once!

Stayed in their penthouse for my 40th birthday back in October we generally stay at Aria, MGM or Mirage but i wanted to try something new for my 40th to basically change it up because I had never stayed there. I thought the room was ok but hated the casino. My wife hated basically everything about the property. Tender the steakhouse was also good.

Pyramid rooms are a novelty but pretty crappy.

I think my problem with Luxor is that the property could be so much more then what it has become. It is almost like MGM has given up on it like they did with Excalibor

You at least have to ride the elevator in the pyramid just so you can say you did...

I almost fell into someone being unprepared for it even though I was aware of it. And I only had two beers at the time. Jeez.

How likely is it that they provide a "complementary upgrade" to a tower room (instead of the Pyramid) if you ask nicely at (a late afternoon) check-in? I'm only staying there one night (Saturday) as it was a free MyVegas reward, so I'd prefer not to have to pay to upgrade. But I'm heading out there at the end of June, so a hot, stuffy pyramid room sounds a little uncomfortable.

Very likely. I've never been stuck in the pyramid when asking for a tower room.

Be careful with getting a pyramid room. One side of the hotel has a night club going boom boom boom below you until 4:00 AM.

Tower is better if you have to stay at Luxor.

Have stayed in both the tower and pyramid, nothing fancy but nothing to complain about for the price. One thing that scared the $&?# out of me and my wife was the half walls on the floors in the pyramid. We roamed around the floors looking at the different views of the casino, food court and such and after just casually leaning on the wall I pushed off and that wall flexed outward. Had to change my pants after that. Never walked close to the edge again.

    This is where I was...

I stayed in a tower room last October and it was fine! Wifi worked great and was fast. Nice view overlooking the pool. I'd stay there again for sure.

Still deciding whether to stay at Luxor this October though..for some reason the prices are really high from Oct. 23 to 28.
