The Electric Daisy festival is later on this year like around the 21-23rd, so you won't have that to contend with, but for some reason the worst check-in lines I've ever dealt with have always been at the Luxor??? To be fair though, it's been 4+ years since I last stayed there.

I concur, the Luxor lines were always the worst. It's been a long time since I stayed there, hope they got better.

I stayed in March, it took maybe 15 minutes in line, wasn't too bad. It was a weekday though.

Try checking it later if you can, or suck it up and pay the early check in fee.

Haven't stayed at Luxor recently, but in the past it didn't matter if you arrived at 8AM or 11PM: they always had a looooooooooooong check in line

If memory serves, there's a second check in desk aside from the one in the main lobby. From outside, use the north entrance to the hotel. From inside, head toward the moving walkway to Excalibur. There's a short flight of stairs on either side of the moving walkway. Down those stairs and to the left. If you're in a Tower room, elevators are close by. Enjoy your stay.

Yes, there is that check in, but it is supposed to be invite only. I don't know if they would actually turn anybody away, but back before MLife that was a Players Club invite only check in.

There is also a third check in at Luxor that is their VIP check in lounge, thats also located near the north check in.

When i stayed there 2 years ago their wasn't much of a wait from what i remember, this was on a Tuesday evening though.

Also..do they take the resort fee at check in or do you pay it when you check out and can it be paid by either cash or card?

They just charge it to your card on file.. unless you go down there and pay cash or something else when you check out.

FWIW, the had most of the lanes open, tons of people working. It's just a big place. Luxor has 4407 rooms! One of the biggest hotels in the world.. But I will say the lady asked me A LOT of questions. Explains the rooms and all the amenities and had me pick which tower I wanted and explained the pros of each one.. I'm like uhh I don't care haha. Probably could of taken 5 minutes less...
