.....per various reports. For those not familiar, this place is on Sahara Ave just north of the parcel MGM owns at the corner of Sahara and the Strip. The place (as you would've guessed from the name) will be Asian themed, have 200 rooms, a few restaurants, and a casino just under 30,000 sqft, mainly with table games that appeal to Asian clientele.

Wasn't this the name of the casino in the movie Rush hour 3?

The movie was Rush Hour 2 and the casino was Red Dragon. I always thought the concept from the movie was a no brainer for Vegas.

I'm interested to see whether the Chinese food they serve is actually good.

ah, interesting. The place is right next to the Golden Steer steakhouse. Let's hope that they have free parking and the offer lots of comps. Timing is perfect for me as I will be there in January during the CES.

I am interested in the place. Maybe a new place to learn a new game.

This might drag me up to the north strip on my Xmas trip. I rarely get past WynnCore anymore, but I'm a sucker for "new", so...

I contacted them via their instagram to inquire about their gaming program and the possibility of tier matching Mlife Platinum/TR Diamond and this was their response:
"When we first open we will have a match program for unexpired Las Vegas gaming rewards programs. Further rules and offerings will be available closer to opening. Stay tuned!"

Any new casino is good news, but this one is intended to draw in the Asian high rollers and I'm not very confident of it having good deals.

This has crossed my mind as well, especially since they seem to only have 200 or so rooms. I guess we'll find out soon enough

Personally I wouldn't plan on staying there, but I would like to sample the Dim Sum and check the place out.

Cosmo used to hand out promotional material on United flights to Vegas. The Dragon might consider a similar strategy to build some brand awareness.

Me too! I have a weakness for Dim Sum. Picture me like this... :feedme: ... but with chopsticks. :haha:

Actually, the plan is to draw Asian middle market players and not fight the strip for high rollers. It will be hard to get a good deal with so few rooms but the casino may be friendlier and that alone may be worth it.

I don't think the $20 sandwich will fly there, might have to try the $20 egg roll. :poke:

This could have a big impact on Vegas and the "Vegas experience" if this becomes a popular destination.
