Relatively new to this My Vegas gaming. I'm about to hit level 29, and usually don't have more than 19-23k of chips at any one time. I'm building the Bellagio right now. I have a decent time at BJ (when I bet $500-1500 each on 3 hands.

I know this may have been asked before, but at my level & bankroll, what's the best way to gain LPs & money?

For Blackjack, don't bother betting a huge amount (say 100K+) as the XP (of which you get only 50% of each bet amount) is capped at something like 30K.

Good deal. Thanks for the help. Just got to level 33 and almost blew my coins betting big @ BJ (cause I can't stand to see the house win). Went back to Luxor and Studio City (which I love) and got a few big hits.

It is generally agreed that BJ is the worst game in myvegas for building LP's. I also found that it is very NOT random nor does it have the usual low house advantage you expect in BJ.

As one more data point, in the Bet The Farm game, I'm on level 80, and it takes 28 spins at 17 lines x 20 coins (340 per spin) to gain 10 LP's, so 9,520 coins in.

    2 things...

First is in response to the original question... you want to play slots to get your 'V's for building hotels. whichever game you pick, play at the lowest level.

Second, the chart that was posted is correct, and before level 57 you want to bet according to the best value for that chart, as LP come much slower after... one thing that the chart is missing is for the first 30 levels your best bet is 60 chips per spin.

I disagree with one post here, Blackjack is the best game for LP because it give the same number of LP per bet as another game, but only provides 1/2 LP. However the bet ammounts still count. And that is not for each hand. At your level you should bet 60 or 30 & 30 or 20 & 20 & 20... I find 1 hand is the fastest as the game takes too long to pay more than one. Once you hit level 31 or 32, your best bet will be 200. Mind you, I do agree the blackjack game is not very random... so you may prefer slots... but stick within the same bets. Once you are at level 57 you can mix up your bets more.

I don't get the quip about BJ. At 200 per hand, you get the same amount of LP's, half the EP's (which don't matter). . .and all the red chips.

It is not quite random, nor El Cortez odds, but when I want to play a game I would rather play BJ than spin a slot wheel. Sometimes the slot wheel is paying back pretty good and I let it go. But when I am playing Lucky birds and it has been 150 spins since I have had a bonus egg spin (after losing my last bonus bird) blackjack is way better.

Don't let all the other posts fool you.

If you double--you get the double points (all the lp's, half the ep's)

Even without the great .18 house advantage of ElCO, it is still better than the slots, plus you get to practice your BJ play. Don't forget, when you get to the casino, you will not only be facing the dealer, but also random players of random skill/state of mind.

When you get to a level that is casino earning, then switch back to minimum bets to maximize V's

One Quip I have about the BJ. . .both I and the dealer were dealt BJ. Normal vegas rules are that If I show it (or since my cards are automatically shown) first before the insurance etc with the dealer it should be mine. Well, I just got a push. Lol
