    My Trip Report

This is my first trip report and my first trip to Vegas since 1995 so forgive me if I ramble a little.

We flew out on Friday after work on Spirit Airlines. The flight to Vegas was on time. The airline was not too bad. We had paid for our bags and the big seats well in advance so we did not have any surprises. We arrived in Vegas and met up with our limo driver John from Presidential Limo. We enjoyed our mini tour of the strip in the limo and arrived at the MGM. We originally booked a Grand King room but we were offered a Tower Spa Suite for $50.00 a night so we took it to get the Spa tub. Rondie really enjoyed the spa tub so it was worth it. On Friday night we hit the MGM, NYNY, and the Luxor. I was playing craps and Rondie was playing slots. We did not hit anything. Finally we ended up at the Peppermill at about 3:00am for breakfast.

Saturday, we went to the NYNY and got a piece of pizza for lunch and then caught the tram to Mandalay Bay. We cashed in our MyVegas reward for the 2 tickets to the Shark Reef. I really enjoyed seeing the sharks so it was worth the reward points. We went and had dinner at Emirel’s before the concert. We had the surf and turf and the filet was awesome. My wife loves the Banana Cream pie from Emeril’s so we each had to have a slice for dessert. The meal was incredible. We then headed to the George Strait and Martina McBride concert. The concert was the reason for the trip since this was his last tour and I have always wanted to see him live. The concert was great and I was really glad we got to see him before he retires. We played some more at the MGM and NYNY and kept on loosing.

Super Bowl Sunday started with me putting a bet on the Ravens then we hit the town. We walked up to Aria and went thru the casino and the stores at Crystal’s. We took the tram to the Bellagio. I spotted a $10.00 Blackjack table so we decided to stay at the Bellagio and play a little. I played for about an hour and came way with little over my buy in. My luck is slowly changing. We walked thru Caesar’s Palace and then went to Bally’s for lunch at Snack. We went in Planet Hollywood. I sit down at the Roulette Wheel and thanks to Beejay hit a 20 with 3 tokes sitting on it. I played for a few more spins and hit part of another number so I cashed out. We went to the MGM to get ready to go to dinner but decide to play. I sit down at the Roulette wheel and hit a 17 with 4 tokes cash out and get ready for dinner. We went to the Steakhouse at Circus Circus for dinner. We get there about 45 minutes for our reservations so we decide to play. I had to get a Player Card to get my $50.00 dining credit from MyVegas and they had a special get $45.00 in chips for $30.00 to play craps, blackjack, or roulette. I took my $45.00 in chips and in 20 minutes turned it into $100. The Ravens won so I won my bet on the game. We head off to the Steakhouse for supper. My wife had the prime rib and I had the filet. The meal was great but the filet was not quite as good as Emeril’s. My wife was winning on the machines as well so we played a little more after dinner. We caught the Fountains at Bellagio and then went to Bally’s. I played blackjack for a while and was up but the table turned cold so I cashed out and went to the roulette wheel and hit another 20 with 3 tokes on it. From there we went to Bill’s and after playing blackjack for a while, I headed to the Roulette wheel and hit another 20 with 3 tokes on it. We eventually ended up back at NYNY playing blackjack until we headed back to the room at 4:00am.

We played a little more at the MGM before we had to leave for the airport. Rondie had hot hand and cashed 1 ticket for $287 on a Ghostbuster machine. I played blackjack and ended loosing $20.00 for 2 hours of play. All in all, it was a great trip. I cannot wait to go back in June.

Thanks for the TR, sounds like a good time! I wish I would have hit the Peppermill on my trip this past weekend, it's one of my favorite places on the strip and I never get over there on my trips.

In over 15 trips to Vegas, I've never been to Peppermill, and am really hoping to try it on our upcoming trip. How was it?

Thanks for taking the time to share your trip report. Now I am even more stoked to play some roulette and play 17/20.

The Peppermill was good. I had the New York Steak and Eggs and my wife had the Loraine Omlet. The portions are good so you won't leave hungry. A guy a few tables over ordered French Toast and it looked awesome.
