I started staying only at Harrah's (then CET) properties when resort fees rolled out at other strip locations. I like them and keep getting comps so my stays have almost exclusively been there (exception when I need a 2 bedroom suite and stay off strip at Residence Inn.)

I can do almost everything on my phone, but this week I brought a laptop for the first time. The wifi in my room has ranged from completely useless to barely functional - to the point where I'll do something else while I wait for a page to load.

Yesterday morning I could not connect at all. It was ridiculously early and this east coaster could not sleep. So I freakin' walked to McDonald's IN MY PAJAMAS carrying my laptop and got a coffee at 4:30am.

This made me just a little cranky, so I posted on Harrah's FB page and was advised to speak to a MOD, which I did. Problem was lessened, but certainly not resolved and here I am at McDonald's with laptop again today.

The "free" wifi for my $22 resort fee is the only benefit I might use. So if I was annoyed about the resort fees before, I am downright ballistic now. Has anyone else encountered issues with this so-called benefit???

the "free wifi"s useless. to gat any decent connection you need to purchase the upgraded wifi.....or do what you are doing.

Does Harrah's have WiFi? I thought they were still wired internet except in a few select suites, so thinking if thats the case if you were getting WiFi it was probably from another room or the lobby or something which would explain why it was so bad...

I stayed at Harrah's in September and the room had wireless internet. The signal was lousy. It was so slow. it was almost unusable. Trying to check in online for my flight the day before going home, my tablet would not connect, but my phone would. Weird.
This was the worst WiFi I have ever experienced in Vegas. Harrah's should be ashamed.

Just stayed there last week with same problem but I could connect to the Venetian WI-Fi clear across the street. Go figure....

OK. Yeah, it had been 2 years since we last stayed at Harrah's and then it was all wired... and they just seem like such a cheap company its almost hard to imagine them shelling out money to install WiFi :) :) :)
