My brother and I are taking our second trip together in March. Last time we went over to the Rio, and went up to the Voodoo Lounge and enjoyed a drink and a cigar(we normally don't smoke at home). Enjoyed the experience, but looking for a similar type atmosphere for this trip. I don't think we'll fit in with the 20 somethings at Ghostbar at the Palms or the Hard Rock. We will most likely do this on a Tuesday- Wednesday Night, not looking to pay a 20 dollar cover charge. A place with a good view is a bonus as well.

Mix would be my first suggestion.

You should also consider Hyde if on Wednesday, as that's a lounge night. You can't get any closer to the Bellagio fountains.

    Places

    Andre's bar at Monte Carlo
Foundation Room ( some risk of a cover here)
    Napoleons at Paris
I also believe the rhum bar at Mirage has a section like your looking for

    Have fun

mix or foundation room are along the same line as voodoo. If you go before 10 you shouldn't have to pay a cover.

You may want to reconsider ghostbar. The crowd there isn't as young as you think and the view is unbeatable. The balcony is also much larger.

Any of the three would be a good choice

I looked on Ghostbar's website, and it said you had to make reservations ahead of time even on a Monday Night? Plus there was a $25 cover charge! No thank you! I don't mind getting dressed up a little bit (polo shirt and dockers) but I don't want to pay a large cover charge and lord only knows how much per drink even with the LVA coupon.

Where will you be staying? Assume you would like to find something close if possible?

Reservations? for what? Unless you want a table you wont be needing reservations

Mixed drinks are $12 at ghostbar -same goes for just about every other nightclub in town

Staying at Ballys on this trip, but may be in the South strip area if we see Fantasy at Luxor. A trip to Mix or Foundation Room may be our best best. We won't have a car, so cabbing it to the Palms would be the only choice.
