About 5 years ago, the Grand Luxe Cafe at Venetian served this for lunch/dinner on their extensive menu. It hasn't been on the menu for several years now, dang it.

Wiener Schnitzel, (veal pounded very thin and deep fried in a thin batter, and very tender) was served with mashed potatoes and warm red cabbage. It was one of my favorite meal "home style" meals there and I had it every trip. Then about 3 or 4 years ago it disappeared from the menu; I asked about it several times, was told the chef removed it as he liked to rotate the offerings. I've had it in Germany several times (perfection), but don't plan on traveling there again anytime soon....lately I've been obsessing about this darn meal....

So, does anyone know of any restaurants in Vegas that have something like this on their menu? And if so, how would you rate it?

    Many thanks!

Hofbräuhaus would be a good bet. If I go there I usually get weiß wurst even though it's considered more of a breakfast.

At first I thought you were looking for the fast food place called Weiner Schnitzel, haha.

HaHa - Der Wiener Schnitzel - forgot about that place, not sure it still exists.

Hey Sandybeachbar - glad to hear someone else remembered and liked this dish!

Will give Hofbräuhaus a try next chance I get. And next trip will try out Cafe Berlin..
Now I have another excuse to get to Vegas more often.

Thanks everyone for the good suggestions!

Bavarian Castle on S. Eastern (10890, I think) has great schnitzel and good authentic apple struedel. Run by a real German Family. We liked it a lot. Been there twice and not many customers. Give them a try - I hope they make it!!
