My husband and I will be celebrating our 10th anniversary as well as his birthday during our summer Vegas trip. We are looking to try somewhere new to celebrate. In the past, we have eaten at Andre's, Alize, the Eiffel Tower restaurant, and Commander's Palace, which I miss so much. We eat a lot of Asian and Italian at home, so I would prefer seafood, French, and steak. Location isn't important; we stay downtown but don't mind taking a cab for dinner. One more thing I should mention - not interested in doing a tasting menu due to the fact that I am a very picky eater! Thanks in advance for suggestions.

For steak, I recommend the CUT. My favorite steak house in Vegas.

My favorite steakhouse is SW at Wynn. Always treated like a high roller when dining there.

SW for steak or Bartolotto for seafood, both at Wynn, congratulations!

As you are staying downtown, at least look at the menu for Joe Vicari's Andiamo Steakhouse at the D.

Better yet, check out the reviews on Yelp.

CUT is excellent, but Gordon Ramsay Steak wins for me because of the signature sticky toffee pudding dessert. Also, you can order one giant steak and one Wellington and split between two people.

Although since you mentioned French, Le Cirque would be the place to go.

Thanks for the suggestions. I looked at some of the menus. My husband likes a good steak, but I don't eat meat. There is some seafood I will eat. Le Cirque's menu looks interesting, as does Michael Mina's, so I will keep exploring.

If that's the case, you should definitely try SW Steakhouse at the Wynn. They have a separate vegan menu that is very good. They also serve wild, line caught seafood... and the Wynn has a marine biologist on staff to care for the seafood because they keep all of their seafood in live tanks under the casino floor so they can deliver fresh fish to their restaurants.

In fact, most of the restaurants at the Wynn have a separate vegan menu. Wynn became a vegan a few years ago and had his chefs create vegan fare that he could/would eat. So the vegan food is not an afterthought at Wynn. There are rumors he's back on the meat though.

Given your previous French choices, I recommend Picasso. The food is interesting, yet accessible. The service is top notch and the views are incredible. They also have a vegetarian menu.

We had a fantastic meal at Prime at the Bellagio. We were seated with a fountain view and it was lovely. The only thing I didn't like was being hustled by the photographer. I don't expect to be hustled while eating at an expensive restaurant.

But after reading these comments, I'm going to check out the SW menu now.

My wife and I will also be celebrating out 10th anniversary in Vegas first week of June. We will be going to our favorite Vegas restaurant - Joe's Prime Steak and Stonecrab in the Forum Shops. We have been there about 5 times and loved everything we have ordered. Fantastic huge filets, awesome seafood and so much more. It's a bit upscale but don't break the bank either.

Is there any connection to the Joe's in Miami?

I second the Picasso recommendation. I know I tend to mention that place a lot, but I really do enjoy it.

Yes, the one in Vegas (and the ones in Chicago and DC) are offshoots of the one in Miami, though I believe operated by a third party. It is not connected to Joe's Crab Shack, which is a huge chain with over a hundred locations.

I took my brother to Joe's Seafood Prime Steak and Stone Crab for his birthday.

In my opinion, it's not a great steakhouse nor is it a great place to get seafood... but they do both reasonably well at a reasonable price. That's hard to find. Most steak places suck at doing seafood and vice versa.

The atmosphere is pretty bland. There's no view... just a nice clean restaurant.

The service was very good Joe's though.

If you're really looking for French... Vegas is certainly the place to be. Joel Robouchon, Picasso, and methinks Guy Savor have all been rated Michellin 3 star restaurants at some point or another. All are French.

Can't go wrong with any of those.

Thank you for all the great suggestions! I have been looking at menus and Guy Savoy is definitely on my bucket list. Unfortunately, I don't think we're budgeting $900 for dinner that night. Right now, I'm leaning towards Le Cirque, Picasso, or Michael Mina. Looks like we're dining somewhere at the Bellagio. I may let my husband have the final choice since it's his birthday.

Another vote for Picassos. You just can't beat fine dining , great service and all of that art. Very romantic.

I would suggest Bartolotta. You can get a table outside and sit by the lake.

I agree with Butterfly, Mastros in City Center. Service is excellent. Great seafood. For desert try the warm butter cake.
