Very interesting. Cannot imagine there was any cheating going on, as he has too much money and too much to lose to risk being part of a cheating scandal

Whenever I see a story like this it makes me angry - if Phil had dumped 11.5 million they would have had no problem keeping it - now, he nails them for the same number and they refuse to pay. Either don't accept his action to begin with, or man up and pay if he hits you - hope he sues them and wins treble damages.

I wonder how many whales and high rollers they've lost since this came out?

shady business for sure, but casinos hate to lose and will do just about anything to avoid it or avoiding paying out if possible. this is really nothing more than a stall tactic as they will pay him eventually, but keeping that money for 6 weeks is better for them.

If it were Hellmuth, everyone would applaud. Because its Ivey, The casino is Lucifer.

Not really. By all accounts, Ivey is a prick too. He just doesn't blow up and show it at the tables

They had 10 cameras watching over 2 days, and the player cant touch the cards either, just another casino stiff job in action.

This kind of thing happens alot at the offshore books/casinos. people will deposit and lose tens of thousands, they then get lucky and hit a couple royal flushes and the book will say they cheated, simply pathetic.

I wonder how often this happens and we don't hear about it. This certainly can't be the first time.

The player can touch the cards, just he didn't, although the lady mentioned in the article apparently did handle the cards during some coups.

Well, I'm not speaking from personal experience. I don't know him. I'm just repeating what the people I know who know him say. of course, they also agree with you about Hellmuth!

Stupid move by the casino IMO.How many big spending repeat clients
of thiers are going to no longer give the place their patronage?

How many gamblers that have never been to the place will now
make sure to avoid it due to this story?

I myself vote with my wallet and I definatly would not step through
the door of any casino that stiffed a winner.

I dont know, after the Full Tilt crap, I think Hellmuth has many more brownie points than Phil Ivey. I would go as far to say that Karma is a bitch.

But to stay on point, if the woman "companion" had already been investigated for prior stuff at the another casino, then her and the dealer absolutely could have been colluding in some way. Throw in Ivey's history, and I can understand an investigation. Still....it should be over by now.

If nothing comes of it, horrible PR for the casino. Whales dont want to be jerked around.

You are forgetting the UB scandal. Granted he came out looking much better than some but there are those that feel he had to have known something.
