Not sure if this is the right place to post, but I wasn't able to post in the admin section.

Is anyone else having trouble logging in? I have had nothing but trouble the last two weeks or so. LVMB isn't remembering my password, so I log in manually, and it says I have the wrong password, even though it's been the same since the boards inception. I then go thru all the steps to get my a new password, then change it, only to have the same thing happen next time I come here. The screen defaults to my screen name in the email section, so if I forget to change that, it kicks me out. Then when I come back in, the password section defaults to the password selected for me, not the one I changed it to, so it kicks me out again. Gotta say, this is getting really aggravating, and don't know how much longer I am going to be willing to jump thru these hoops.

I've been on these boards for years and have been trying to write up a trip report from my latest adventure, but I think I'm giving up.

It sounds like a cookie issue. Find the cookie for vegasmessageboard.com and delete it. You might also try clearing your cache. Once you log into the board again, it should reset the cookie and clear up your problem.

Let me know if that doesn't fix it.

I'm not sure what you're asking. For more info on "cookies"?

Here are a couple of sites that might answer your questions:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTP_cookie
    http://www.allaboutcookies.org/cookies/

This is what we use. The cookie stores the information the board uses to know you are you, remembers your passwords, knows what threads were read and what hasn't been read, etc. How you have your settings on your particular browser will effect the performance of the board's cookie too.

Here is some help with clearing your cookies:
    http://www.aboutcookies.org/DEFAULT.ASPX?page=2
    http://www.allaboutcookies.org/manage-cookies/clear-cookies-installed.html

But beware!!!! Deleting all your cookies means that the next time you visit a site, it won't remember your password or who you are.

This is why I suggest just removing the cookie for vegasmessageboard - https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080819163443AAmy7Nj

    Hope that helps!
