    My Trip Report

The memories are a bit hazy now, thinking back all those years ago. It was the early 90's and the Excalibur had just opened and my family and extended family planned a reunion in Vegas. Having stayed at the mirage for one night and being blown away, we moved to several nights at Excal. From this east coast bumpkin, whom only thought A/C was magical, I was now in heaven..

Fast forward 20 some years and, I feel like Marty Mcfly :) we land on my impending 21st trip to Vegas! Yes I am of legal age.. time to sow some oats, spread the Tbone love to all of vegas, time to "what happens in vegas stays in vegas" and all that good jazz... that all sounds amazing, but just keep in mind that I am usually down for the count in vegas by 9-10PM LOL, so not sure how many oats will be sown. But what hopefully will be sown will be some Alcohol, and lots of Gambling.

As they say good artist copy, and great artist steal, so given all the amazing trip report on VMB, some live, some recaps after the fact, I intend to steal some reporting ideas from my VMB Brethren. Such as the pre-trip list of wishes and hopes for the trip, so without further ado:

-Have safe and healthy travels, first and foremost and my wish for anyone heading out. Yes I am sappy, but it is in full selfish mode that I do not want hassles messing with my Vegas.

    - Packers thread about your win losses for the years a bit ago, got me to realize in my 20 trips to Vegas, I have never left being a winner gambling wise. Am I unlucky? Probably. Am I to degenerate to book a win without trying for more? Most definitely. So, my one goal is to leave Vegas a winner gambling wise. I give the odds at 2-5 against.

-Can I have Beeejayesque luck off the bat and hit some monster craps roll or jackpot at VP? Odds of about 2-1 in favor as it seems I do have some early luck in vegas looking back.

    - Can I employ Money Management to reduce losses and keep winnings. Odds 1-10 against as even though I am mild and not to crazy, I do gamble most of the time so this is going to be harder to accomplish.

-Dinners planned are Giadas, Delmonico, and Buddy V's (first time). Odds - no odds, a mans gotta eat so this is a slam dunk.

-Plan on hitting the high roller one night, unless gambling is going well. Along with a visit to the eiffel tower. Odds 3-2 for, basically almost a toss up but I do want to do one if not both.

    - See the Icons of the strip. Most definitely. Hitting all the favorites if possible like the B, Wynn, and may wander down to Excal/Luxor/NYNY etc, as it has been several trip since visiting that part of the strip. Odds 10-1 for.

So the bankroll is set, and I will try and give as accurate win loss totals on an ongoing basis and I find that interesting and do not mind sharing. Lately the negative has been on a streak so I am hoping that changes. Starting with 9K with 2 in the strategic reserve, and praying I do not need to tap markers or the royal reserve which has not been touched in years. Ok that sounds kinky, but anyway, hope you can join me for a hopeful fun stay in Vegas. Wheels up in 11 hours.

Here is a brief summary of my last trip in March of this year

Bankroll shot along with my meager chip collection. Hope to expand this this trip and start filling a second frame:

Love your recap video. Very well done! - Most definitely interested in your Aria experience as I've given in to curiosity and booked part of my next trip there in Jan. The time limit for drink comp thing @ the SB bar was a red flag during my only short visit there, so I'm torn.

    Good luck & have fun!

Thanks Directortaratino, hope I have as much fun as you did on your last trip!

    I know the feeling troe...

    Thanks mrstealth!

That would be awesome, I like that thinking :peace:

Thanks Carve, I will definitely look to be at Aria sometime during the weekend so hopefully a drink meet up works out, it would be great. I changed to Palazzo, due to my Aria booking through Mlife last month, was supposed to have a bunch more Free Play than shown on the website and told to me by the Mlifer rep. I call on Sunday to confirm a pickup at the airport and my reservation details and they say that the offer was only for $150 fp and no pickup at Mccarran, the pickup I do not care but the Free Play they originally booked me on is not applicable this weekend now so that was a mistake they said by the Mlifer. I said that was their mistake, yadda yadda yadda and they apologized and tried to up it to 300, it was originally 750 or so, I said no thanks and booked with my host at Palazzo and between the wife and I have 450 FP plus 300 bet chips.

Really does not bother me one bit, just glad I checked and given that attitude I did not mind changing.

If we do not happen to cross paths thecarve I hope you have a great trip and win big!

Thanks Boondocksnt5! I will only take 3-4 of them and leave you the rest :)

Thanks for checking in everyone . As you all know this is the exciting time when your so close to a trip after 239 days 18 hours 21 minutes since I was last in vegas.

Thanks misterlv. I detailed a bit in my previous post as to the reason for the change, but I will add, give Aria a chance, and stay there. It really is a beautiful property and we always enjoyed our stays there. In looking back, the Free Play issue is really not that big a deal and the wife is a bit upset that we changed because she likes Aria's hotel and wanted a different stay compared to last time. But we like V/P and they always take care of us every time up to and above what they promise us, so it is all good. Especially since it is VEGAS BABY! There are no bad times to be had.

Have a great trip when you get out!

Best of luck to you! This will be your winning trip! One tip to help you book a winning trip...get rid of those $50 bills...they are bad luck.

Thanks Tbone! - It's all about trying something different and new experiences as you well know and completely agree with not allowing the small stuff to affect me much. I definitely have a problem with much of how things are on the strip these days but if you let it get to you, you'd never want to do anything. I'm pretty sure, these days, that's not just a LV problem. - How 'bout some Delmonico food porn, if you can. One of my all time faves. Need to get back there and V/P for a stay since it's been over 5 years for either.

Thanks, have fun & best of luck! - Take some of Sheldon's money home with ya'!
